They are definitely going to be less of a basket case club next season. Looks like they are already gonna bring in at least a couple of CBs from the Bundesliga and a tough tackling Uruguayan DM from Sampdoria. Gradually the Wenger blindspots will be remedied and they could become a threat again.

Here we go again. We had all this with Ozil, then Aubergine and Mickeyterryhenry.

Well, no isn’t the point I was making - they are not just signing quick and creative attackers. They now have an analytical recruitment department looking to build a defence and make them more robust.

We’re still way ahead because Poch’s style of play is engrained in our squad. I still think they will be a much more balanced proposition though.

They are also trying to grab up 16/17 year old prospects from across Europe on the cheap.

What happened to that famous kids academy they ran for years ? Was it a mirage ?

Torreira be another pretty average signing wouldn’t even make our bench as a DM. These really are very West Ham like signings. Honestly think they could have a fight with Everton and Leicester for 6th.

Absolutely no idea about this lad but Sampdoria aren't very good and even the Guardian's usual press release doesn't make him sound particularly impressive.

Let's put it this way, Arsenal are going to be dark horses next year.

Aubamayayananyang, Lacaezeteteyttey, Mikitarianianianianian and Ozzililllllolooodoubleeyedbinoclors are all excellent players on their day, so if they get solid behind that they could be interesting...

Wasn't Granite Xhakahkahaka meant to be the midfielder to beat all midfielders?!

They're clearly looking to make their money through shirt sales and character prints. Ridiculous.

Torreira is a bit of a nutter runs around a lot and flys into tackles. Pretty diminutive for a PL DM about 5ft 6 . Hence being likened to a white Kante lol. He certainly isn’t that level.

Disagree with you on this one. Torreira is a good signing

Also, Emery is a more pragmatic coach. Wenger had one way of playing, pretty, that just about everyone had figured out.

If we were signing players like Lichtsteiner Sokratis Torreira people would be going mental. None of those even get on our bench.

Not many of Leicester's players would either but they still won the league. You seem obsessed with comparing players. It's about the team working as a unit, not an 11 v 11 comparison on FIFA.

The other two are garbage but torreira would get a lot of game time at us imo. Very underated player

Wilshere has confirmed he is leaving Arsenal.

We'll all remember him in our different ways. Whether breaking his leg trying to tackle Kane, losing his rag with Lamela when Erik called him a pussy or watching Bale rile him with the universal hand gesture for 'shortarse', he's always been there for us when we've needed a bit of comic relief.

It's easy to get distracted by all this off-the-ball nonsense around Wilshere, so here's my favourite memory of him on the pitch...

Farewell, Jack, you ****

Wheelchair is pathetic, only coming out with that today to keep himself in the news while the World Cup is on.

Shit show West Ham and the dildo brothers a match made in heaven for him
