If any of you read Football365 and their mailbox, there's a mail from an Arsenal "fan" who calls himself Stewie Griffin today that is hilarious. He's a semi-regular mailboxer who detests Wenger more than anyone I've ever come across, it's fantastic.

He signs off with this gem.

I mentioned this before but I think it's something that really reflects this and I smirk everytime I think about it.....

I professionally work with someone who worked with Emery and his staff previously and one of Emery's coaching staff told him that "they are shocked at the level of quality" at the club. That was last summer when they first arrived. I was also told that they had to pretty much work with what they had though as they wouldn't be able to recruit anywhere close to what PSG do.

It's why I wasn't slightly worried when all the goons were saying that Emery will get them back to the top.

Wenger really did let things rot there. Superb tactician and coach of his era but he got such a stranglehold on the club that he couldn't let someone else take care of important aspects such as contracts, player recruitment, etc. No trust after Dein.

It's all absolutely brilliant though.

Yeah I think I remember you posting something about that. Superb news. Got to wonder if he walks before he’s pushed.

Is this how Chelsea fans felt when they stole Willian from us... I have no idea who Saliba is or that they were close to wrapping up the deal...

What the fek happened to the Tierney transfer, thought they had that in the bag?

They are utterley feked if they can't conclude a simple transfer such as that.

Supposedly he is injured or recovering from an injury so they're waiting.

26 days of the window to go and they haven't brought in one major signing and haven't offloaded anyone they want out.

To make matters worse for them we are hijacking their biggest potential signing so far.......an 18-year-old with limited professional experience!!

I reckon they'll get Tierney and that'll be about all.

They've been linked to some players who should be obtainable - Ziyech, Fekir, Carassco, etc - none of these would break the bank but for whatever reason their interest dies just as it looks like a goer which implies that the club can't afford to spend 30m on a single player.

Seems like they're really struggling to get deals over the line, I don't know who's on their negotiations team or who's leading it but something is seriously wrong.

Saw my mate on Thursday (season ticket holder) and told me that they knew about our long standing interest in Saliba a long time ago and he thought they signed him to keep him away from us, it shouldn't have got to this point as they should have got it done on Thursday.

Absolutely mental the state the club is in, either Wenger let it rot for so long or they have just been utterley careless in transition, I don't really rate Emery but he's on a hiding to nothing there.

Now if we can just start a plausible rumour that Kroenke has been a Spurs fan all along and the meltdown will be complete.
