Can't overstate how much this lack of commitment is going to hurt them.

If any of their players were offered an opportunity to get out then they'd probably take it right now as the club is completely lacking in direction. You simply can't hope to achieve anything when the majority of the players don't care for the shirt and would leave at the drop of a hat. Love it

So their club captain no longer fancies playing for them. Thats embarrassing ??????

I agree with others that he's been injured and still paid for what seems like years so should have a bit more respect.

He must really hate it there to want to leave though. Either that or he doesn't feel that he can cope with the PL any more. If thats the case then that is what he should say. A bit like dembele did with us and let arsenal get a fee for him.

I find this puzzling as it's not the sort of behaviour I'd have expected from him, I know he has a year left on his contract but he is the kind of player that would see that through so there is more to this than meets the eye.
Rumour is that he had an agreement that he could leave this summer although Arsenal dispute that, I can see a scenario where he wanted to go back to France last summer but was persuaded to give the new manager another year and then they would release him this year, I just don't see him making that stuff up.
To be honest it's the kind of thing Arsenal may have done for a player who'd given long fine service but then they used to have a bit of class, it seems they longer have.

Claude's take on the subject :D

To save everyone the time of watching this, here's a quick recap:

A bald man squints into a phone.
A man buys train ticket in an unseasonably wooly hat.
The bald man is then accidentally racist.

Unbelievable how f***** they are. Will likely have to include 7 U21 players just to get numbers up to a 25 man squad. Their only senior AM for start of season are Ozil and Mkhitaryan. Their only CB Sokratis and mustafi and Holding back off s long injury. Can honestly see them coming 8-10th.

It's not looking good for them, but to play devil's advocate they could still sign a couple of players to give them a bit more of a first XI.

Plus they've got PEA to knock some goals in.

But to be honest, I'm clutching at straws a little bit here. Their squad depth looks poor and an injury to PEA and they'll be in serious trouble.

Regardless of their personnel, the main issue they have is the inability to win away games. Is that going to continue next season? That's the first thing Emery needs to address.

Exactly. They have precisely 0 players they can rely on behind the two forwards. Every single other player in that squad p.t. is either inconsistent, talented youngster (AMN, Holding) or not good enough for the rest of the top six.

Having said that, Holding's record for them before his injury last season was very good indeed.

9 of those games were at home and the away games had the likes of Qarabag, Fulham and Vorskla Potlava. Not so much lies, damned lies and statistics as just not a great enough statistics to give a fair judgement.

That was during their great 'unbeaten run' that had them all wetting their panties, when they hadn't actually played a half decent side.
Even the media were going on about how great Arsenal were looking.
It did make me chuckle at the time.

After they had lost to City and Chelsea. Games Holding didn’t play.

Blows my mind that their captain refuses to train with the first team, the absolute state of that club - those sort of things used to happen to us.

To be fair to Koscielny he's probably just worried about picking up a long term injury from the change in air pressure during the flight.
