Really? So if Mike Ashley takes over that would improve things? The Golds?

What are you are saying is you want some Oil slaver oligarch to come in and use Spurs to white wash their crimes against humanity. At least have the guts to own that position ffs.
I get that your against wealthy owners who can take the club forward but why reference Ashley he would be no better than the current ownership in fact worse.

I doesn't alter the fact they were better than us today.

And what hurts even more than that is that they wanted it more.

I heard Ryan Mason talking about London derbies last week and he said the current squad see Chelsea as the bigger game with more needle nowadays. He said it was the same when he played.

I can sort of appreciate that, but for the fans the big match is still Arsenal (unless you’re Riggi ?)

Chelsea is the bigger rivalry now...although Arsenal is still a huge game and a big rivalry.

Games like that i can do without....hate everything about the NLD , want them to end when we are winning want them to end even more when are losing....ONLY enjoy the re-run after we win.
A few factors why we lost,Got done tactically twice in one game, started slowly and found it hard to get going, they had their eyes on this game and were bang up for it, where we had 2 massive games 5 days before...

But they beat us fair and square, but boy do i despise them....lets hope we can fucking redeem ourselves in the cup.

Woke up in the night, couldn't get it out of my head, woke up this morning feeling just as shit.

There will be time for positivity but i am not ready yet. OK, then, let's beat Southampton, it's still three points!

A plea to Poch and the players - Do not repeat that pathetic performance when we go back there later this month. If you value this club's proud history, you will know that you will be throwing away one of the diminishing chances we have to avert the first full decade since the 1930s when we don't win a trophy. Yes, please read these words and remember what is on the line and don't simply dismiss it !

It's a close call as to whether that loss the or similar way we lost to them at their place a year earlier was worse, I'd say yesterday's was more frustrating because we got back into it, got ourselves ahead and then shipped in 3 goals without reply in the tamest of surrenders in what should have been a hard fought derby against the old enemy.

I think that was the worst performance from our defence I have seen for a long time. All of them were poor and out of ten I couldn't give any of them more than a three LLORIS 3, Aurier 1, Davies 2, Vert 2, Foyth 1, There certainly need changes in January but it's unlikely we will get any. I think had Toby played we might have won as the Foyth and Vert errors possibly might not have happened.
Dier was the biggest culprit for me. After he dropped into the back 3 we actually looked worse. 2 big errors leading to goals from him - compounding Foyth's error. Undid all the good he did in the first half.

Well that needs to change now as another performance like that won't be accepted. I understand where Mason is coming from, especially for some of the non-British players because we've generally been challenging with Chelsea and we had the battle of the Bridge but I can't imagine Kane and Winks going in to that game thinking it's not as big as the Chelsea game.

It's taken a while for us to take the West Ham games entirely seriously, let's hope it doesn't take us as long to do the same with this one. Although I do believe we will avenge this defeat at the NWHL. I'm sure we'll be right up for that one.

Looking in the bright side, since we lost we should be releasing the news of Eriksen’s new contract today, right?

@onthetwo Why is that optimistic? We've rolled them over in our last two home games (1 at Wembley) and if we are in the NWHL by then surely we can expect a completely different mindset?

I get why people are feeling a little deflated and defeatist at the moment but there's a lot of things that need taking into consideration.

Third big game in 8 days (we don't have the CM alternatives available to rotate)
Three games on the bounce for Sissoko (that's where you need the energy)
Poch got it wrong (I'm sure he'll get it right next time)
We were away from home and generally don't do well there.
They were right up for it and clearly prioritised it with a whole weeks preparation
We always come into our own after Xmas

I'm not getting this "chelsea are the bigger rivalry now" shite. Chelsea are nothing.

Last nights game showed, if nothing else, that this is the true rivalry, the biggest derby, and produces the best, most pulsating games. That was a proper NLD; tons of goals, controversy, fights, needle... we fucked it, and the gooners ran away with it, but it was still a top derby. Arsenal will always be the rivalry, and the NLD will always be the biggest game.

Chelsea wish they had a rivalry.

Fuck Chelsea.

Normally I get over NLD defeats pretty quickly but yesterdays defeat had a different feel to it - it was fuckin humiliating. I still feel erm shit even today. It was so bad - man it was so bad.

In terms of this week, the NLD was the least important as it was less likely to affect our momentum than the other two. The Goons are on a nineteen match unbeaten run and yet are still only ahead of us on GD.

It was bad because we were ahead at halftime, but in reality a lot of players were spent. As I said before, Poch got it wrong with his subs. I think the subs in the end were just to give a run out. Even then, Moura had a great chance to get a third for us, but he's not clinical. He also looked pissed off that he came in late, because I think he wanted to put one over Emery. He'll get another chance in a fortnight.
