I think there's more chance of Martial getting first team football with Chelsea, particularly if Willian ends up leaving. There's rumours about Hazard too and he's only got 2 years left.

Willian plays RW Martial is on the left and wants to ultimately play centrally.

I'd imagine a potential Toby/Martial swap deal is going to hinge on the Bale. Think Bale deal would be decided shortly after CL final maybe he goes on holiday and it takes a week but don't think that would be some long drawn out ordeal (as in if he wants to come or not, Levy is a whole other story). If we decide it isn't happening we go right back to Martial/Toby swap.

Apologies if already said but there are clauses in the Monaco deal that make it highly likely they will sell
They have to pay 8m more if he scores 25 goals and he has scored 24, and 8m if he gets 25 France caps and he has 18

That kind of information makes Danny's peen twitch a bit

No idea who this Tribun Dergi is but he has 1.3m followers. Seems to be a turkish based journo so not sure why he'd know anything about this deal :ROFLMAO:

This guy knows absolutely nothing and shouldn’t be treated like he does. Like quoting that chief Paul O’Keefe.

Whether he does or doesn't, it's all just interesting to post it I think. For the record I think he's been pretty good from what I've seen but I'm certainly not crowning him as ITK if that helps.

I would rather Toby went to Spain than him go to Yanited regardless if we got Martial as apart of the deal. Your strengthening a direct rival. Martial is a good player but he’s not a world beater imo.

Well.....Toby has been injured for significant time in the previous 2 seasons. He's 29 years old and whilst he strengthens them to a degree, they can near enough buy any player they want so whether it's Toby or someone else it doesn't really matter. I don't want to see him there but if it helps us get Martial then I'm all for it.

AM is 22 and is FAR better than his time at Utd would indicate. He's had a shit time there under a miserable prick like Mourinho. He has all the attributes to be a world beater and just needs the right situation and coaching. We might strengthen them with Toby but they are also strengthening us with Martial.

Utd may have finished 2nd but IMO they are at more of a crossroads than us and need to make more changes than we do. Fans aren't happy and they have a lot of over-payed, overrated players.

I agree with you to a certain degree regarding AM and I’m sure Poch would/could turn him into a great player, he’s already had a platform to build on being at MU but hasn’t worked out for him. I’m not saying that we shouldn’t try and sign him and I would be happy if we did. What I don’t want to see is Toby going the other way, it’s a step backwards IMO selling one of the best CB’s in the league regardless of injury to a direct rival. You can’t say they wouldn’t be a better team with Toby in the XI. I’m all for AM but no swap deal is all I’m saying. I don’t want Toby to leave either however if he does, sell him to a club overseas.

It would pain me to see Toby in United but if there is any truth to this 'exchange deal' (...which are very rare outside Football manager), I feel like we would gain more than we would be losing. When everything clicks for this current Spurs team we are the second best team in the league by quite some margin in my opinion. What we need is more consistency and squad depth.

We drew 8 matches this season and lost 7. Largely down to our best players being out of form. The only time we've been completely outplayed was the first match against City. On very few occasions did we lose by more than one goal. If we could turn a few of those 1-1 results to wins and a few of those 0-1 losses to draws we'd take the next step as a club.

I'm not saying Martial is the single answer to this riddle but here's a player who can play on multiple positions up front and he does score goals both as a starter and as a substitute. He'd instantly improve our squad depth and he's only 22 with room for improvement under the right manager. As long as we have suitable replacement for Toby lined up I'm all for this supposed swap deal.

Even if he was to get Toby in return, Jose would never let Martial come to us. He's nothing if he's not media savvy and he knows his reputation would take a big hit when Poch turned him into a star.

As much as I'd love us to sign martial, I don't want us to at the expense of losing Toby to United.

And you're basing your opinion on what? Just on your gut feeling? To your information Mourinho have sold Mata, Lukaku, Salah and Kevin De Bruyne not to name more.
