Breaking | Manchester United have rejected offers from Tottenham Hotspur & Inter Milan for Anthony Martial. (RMC)

Just last week I am sure I read they wanted 30m for him. Probably not from us though, eh.
They'd want a lot more than that.

#Tottenham bid for Anthony #Martial, bid rejected by Man United. #MUFC

I think we're completely wasting our time to be honest (if true).
I'll preface this by saying I in no way expect to sign him, what's interesting though is I feel (if true) we must've been given the nod to bid by himself, his agent or someone connected to him...that's how these deals work nowadays right? When was the last time you heard a deal break down because of a failure to agree personal terms? Very rarely happens these days.

You're right though, probably wasting our time as I can't see United selling to us unfortunately.

Probably.. there were reports a month ago that the asking price was 30m though. Roma heavily linked at the time. They asked for a loan, United said no but you can buy him - so say the reports in the Express and Mirror. Thought it was more recent than mid July though - a lot has changed since.

Vorm was because their chairman wanted to keep all of the cash and not pay a sell on to his Vorms old club, pretty sure they got investigated for it
You're right though it's rare
Vorm was signed as a free transfer which pissed off his former club. Davies was signed for a fee. Swansea signed Siggy for a fee and we also stuck on a 10% sell on clause. Looked like a 2 for 1 swap in the media though, yes.

I suppose this could work as say Martial for £30m, Shaw for £20 and Rose for £50m though. But Mourinho will probably value both players alot higher than that if it involves selling to us

Tap him up. Make him force a move to us. Sick of us happily strengthening a rival but it not working other way round.
If we had bid we obviously know from his agent he'd wanna join and we could afford his wages.

This is why you never doubt Levy.

Remember the time we bid £38.5 million for Aguero?

He always comes good in the end.

Counter attack ahead of a Rose bid I reckon. I'd probably take that swap too.

Poch could get the best out of him, but that's why Jose would never allow it.

Mental when you consider Martial is still only 21. Surely he wouldn't want to waste another year of his still relatively early development at United.

Wonder if this was the PL Keita backup @Gyid referred to?

Seems like too much of a long shot but could see the player being keen if his wages are within our ballpark (which I doubt).
