According to ITK, he's not 'open' to staying, he wants to stay. Forgive him as Rose was forgiven and get him signed up to a new contract. Ta (y)

I think Levy and Poch have had enough of him agreeing in principle to a deal then asking for more. For a player who has been out for thirty games to demand the sort of money he and his agent allegedly are doing is plain stupid.

Wasn't missed during his injury and won't be missed if he moves on. I fully endorse Levy's stance on this whole saga.

Would love for him to stay, but as many of you have said in several different threads it looks like he and his father and agent have burned too many bridges for repair.

This would be the best case scenario, but I don't have high hopes for it, but who knows what will happen.

In fairness theres a lot less to forgive... i struggle to see what, if anything, Toby has done wrong.

None of us knows what went on behind closed doors but according to the ITK, Poch went in to bat for him on his contract, got an agreement for him on what he asked for, and his 'team' then said 'not good enough'. If that is true I can see why Poch doesn't want him around. He's a respectful man and won't stand for any of that shit. Seems like Toby is back-peddling fast but the damage may be too great.

EDIT; I'd love Toby to stay btw.

We don't know exactly what has been said and done in the contract talks, its mostly rumour. We cant let someone like Toby walk away if he wants to stay and play for us.

Keep him another year if we can agree a deal for de Ligt now and loan back to Ajax (which is what Ajax want I hear)

The only way we will keep Toby is if he signs a new contract with us asap, thereby protecting his sale value. We can't afford to let such a high-value asset run down his current contract. I don't know if the contract offer is still on the table but I would really hope it is if he genuinely wants to stay and play for us.

The only people that DO know exactly what was said, are the ones that want him to leave so yes, we can let him go if the people privy to the information have decided so.

Don't know if deLigt would be up for that. He may want to make the step up now.

The only reason you think people want him to leave is because of "ITK"

He hasn't said he wants to leave. Pochettino, Levy, Doris the tea lady, haven't said they want him to leave.

Don't believe everything you read and if you do, take it at 50% at best.

He's one of/the best defenders in Europe. With him playing we had the best defence in the league 2 years running.
If he will sign a new deal and play at full throttle we have to have that. Potentialnos good but we won't win the league with potential. I don't personally give a shit about bridges and relationships. If they can shake hands, man up and perform, crack on.

Who has said from within the club, that they want him to leave ? I cant find anything anywhere. Just even 1 article with quotes, no need to provide 2 or 3.

Hercules has suggested he that messed up worse than Rose did and that "one day it will all come out".

I think that's what Ajax want, not sure on De Ligt though.

I still think it's risky keeping Toby for a year, next summer his release clause will be £25m which mean he can sign for anyone, I don't like that scenario as it takes the power out of our hands.

As I see it, no one has come in for him at the fee Spurs want so he has to know say he wants to stay..... Unless he signs a contract there is no point so it's up to his team of knob heads....
