The problem is he's just a journalist, just a fan with a wider reach than many others. My issue isn't with AG or his opinions and the problems arise when other shitty aggregators start writing pieces using him as some sort of authority on the club when he isn't. He's just a journalist with an opinion.

Have you met him, spoken with him, or interacted with him in any way?
Or are you making a nasty, shitty statement based on nothing more than a few articles?

FFS, state of people on the internet and their desire to state spiteful, unfounded bile.
...also known as opinions others may not share

Those who do not appreciate Ally Gold deserve the rest of the ‘journalists’ and ‘pundits’.
You mean the ones who have played the game at an elite level? I'd much rather hear from them thanks.

Maybe Mr Gold could 'urge' Sunak to fix world peace? Or the cost of living crisis? Or maybe he should wind is neck in and leave the professionals to do their jobs.

Well said. shitty aggregators are deffo the worst, but Football London are 100% part of that game themselves. There was time when journalists just reported, opposed to gave advice. Gold is deep in Beth Rigby territory imo

When an opinion is voiced with such vitriol, it loses any value.
Like Clarksons recent "opinion" on Meghan, it's not an opinion, it's a personal attack.

I'd rather listen to Ally Gold than Martin Keown, Gaby Agbonlahor or Jamie O'Hara (or about 100 other 'professionals')

Couldn't agree more. How he has the brass kneck to print an article 'urging' one of the best managers in the game to play players he wants, like he's some sort of equal, is incredibly disrespectful.

Of course you would, he very much has a Spurs Bias and isn't trying to enflame anyone with his comments in order to be relevant. You don't think this lot have well paid gigs at Talksport for their educational insight now do you?

The only time I'd ever listen to Talksport is when Simon Jordan eviscerates the other panel members.

You’re right. This forum should shut and we’ll just listen to the professional’s opinions, as people who spend their lives just watching football obviously don’t know anything about it.

so another difference of opinion..
But without the nastiness and aggression.
Calling someone a "parasite" isn't a difference of opinion, it's being an abusive idiot.

Having an opinion doesn't mean you can slag people off on a personal level but then, you probably know that already.
You're just being a wum at this stage.

What you maybe don't realise is that some people on here do know him personally, and there are plenty of us that know him as a member on here in the early days, plenty of us have interacted with him.

He's a decent, intelligent guy and nothing like the persona you seem to think.

Ally Gold was an integral part of SC in our early days and his articles were a big draw to the site and whilst i'm not the biggest fan of Football London, he doesn't deserve some of the comments being made and he definitely does deserve us having his back.

The article is from 'This is Futbol' and the headline is theirs so firstly, anyone having a pop needs to wind their necks in, take a deep breath and understand that it's an opinion blown out of proportion by a (bad) headline that he had nothing to do with and secondly, give the spite a rest. Thanks.

Have you even read what Ally was quoted as saying?
