It seemed cruel to make a lets laugh at thread. So i thought i'd start one with a pic of their new stadium render at the new plough lane. It'd be nice to see what its like when its finished...i.e. a nice 3rd round tie like the good old days. Wish them all the best.

It’s weird AFC Wimbledon we’re able to make it happen but the original Wimbledon just gave up on plough lane.

Unless them moving to Milton Keynes gave a kick up the arse to the local council to be more helpful second time around?

Happy formAFC Wimbledon as they’ve worked very hard and done excellently to get where they are now!

Just noticed they have one of our former lads Shayon Harrison playing for them too so like them even more lol.

I'm not sure if the council coverage has changed over that 30 years. Plough Lane is now in Merton City Council, rather than Wimbledon, so maybe that's the difference. Also, I believe Sadiq Kahn was lobbying for it since he was MP for Tooting. Could be wrong.
