Isn't him a prima Donna player? Not sure he fits well into the dressing room?
I'd take a lot of that with a pinch of salt. From what I hear, his mother is a complete arsehole to deal with and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the bad press stems from that. Not saying he's an angel but perhaps he's not as bad as people think. It does make one wonder if that's why the Barca deal hasn't been signed off on, but I haven't been following it all so have no idea.

I would imagine Pochettino will be well aware either way and if he did come, you'd have to assume the stories are just that I couldn't imagine for one minute Poch leaving us open to shenanigans from him or his entourage (mummy).

I dont know the back story and could’nt really be bothered researching why he has issues with PSG but if he has been out of 1st team training since December and laughing about it online, I dont really want this kind of shit coming into the team.

Don’t know a lot about this guy, what is his preferred position in midfield?
A Dier holding player or a Dembele
type?

I think he is a complete midfield player still young massive potential but already a high level player. Strong, can tackle, good passing long or short, can break with the ball. Would be a great signing..

I get your concerns but the same was said about Aurier.

A couple of Spanish outlets saying Barca still wants him but have been waiting for Rabiot's mother for the last few weeks to give them an answer, adding that the signing of De Jong may make her/Rabiot re-evaluate.

French sites reporting on the Sun's story adding that PSG would be amenable to the Tottenham offer as it allows them to get some money now rather than lose him for free next summer.

His mum mooting him to Barca. Thinking that Spurs isn’t exactly an attractive plan B.

When people are unhappy they behave irrationally. Some thought Aurier would be a nightmare but I've read nothing to say he has caused disharmony - if anything he looks settled.

Totally worth the risk on the guy. Not often you get a cut price opportunity on a talent with 10 years left in his game.

Unhappy = behave irrationally.

I must be feckin ecstatic then because I'm rationally thinking that this deal is highly unlikely to happen. (y)

Good point, Aurier made a terrible name for himself but haven't heard a peep since.

Wasn't he arrested recently over a row with his wife? No charge happened. Sure I read about it somewhere. Also Aurier is only a squad player. I think the readers on here expect him to be a first team player and having significant impact on games. I would have prefered a loan but as has been pointed out to me by gorgeous george above he only has 6 months on his contract so that will not happen.

I can't believe that Poch wouldn't have talked to Aurier about him before deciding whether or not to bid. IF we have bid then Poch must be happy with what he hears about Rabiot's attitude.

Doesn't want to play the holding role, even though he can. Great attitude.
