This is one that will likely be a big discussion point.

Article states that Tottenham has been in discussions with the players entourage for weeks. I saw a paris united tweet just today that said the sporting director would accept an offer around 10mil but the owner was not yet convinced. He has repeatedly rejected new contracts and now seems to be in Tuchels dog house.

I know he's supposed to be a right dickhead, but we can't afford top players who don't have something wrong with them. Get him in, Poch will sort him out.

I'll be on my deathbed in 50 odd years and will still be hearing news stories about Spurs lining up/sizing up a move for Adrien Rabiot.

To be fair, if it ever happens it will be in the next 7 months so finally some closure!

Nah goes he'll go to Barca, be benched for 6 months and then next January they'll claim we're eying a double swoop for him and forgotten Barcelona postman Malcom.

How many windows has his name come up in?

Will not come to Spurs in January, doubt if he will move this window, so will be pressing F5 again in July

This is one of those that Levy should be all over. Odds that he would resell for less than we would buy him for are extremely low. Even if he busts, someone will pay what we will have paid. Low risk.

This is the main thing which makes the deal viable for me (plus previous dealings with PSG).

Frustrating really because ideally we should be recruiting based on Poch's wants, current ability, potential, then financial - ideally in that order. I think Levy works from the exact opposite route on transfers.

Either way, at the right price, he'd be worth a go. Ligue 1 isn't much to shout about but he's been involved with top players for a while and consistent CL exposure.

With the constant links to the guy all these years it seems like he might actually be someone Poch wants. PSG just has probably never considered moving him until this point as the end is likely near for him there.

It's only natural that we look for players with depressed value, eg contract running down / release clause. Most of our best signings were made that way.

Don't get me wrong - it's a great way to find value in an inflated market. I'm sure there's wider interest too but perhaps the longer term interest in him and dealings with PSG give us some advantage. The key i think will be moving another non-HG out to make room.

Even going back to the Barkley chase - it largely made sense, up until the injury issues which put our interest back to when he could walk on a free and Chelsea were willing to pay up early.

I'm all for Rabiot. Would stroll into our best XI, crazy talent. Hopefully Poch can keep his mother quiet
