Make it fucking happen Poch!!!

Bringing this guy in for 10mil or whatever would free us up to have funds to blow some dough on a guy like Werner.

Also, am I naive in thinking it would be helpful to have Lloris and Kane in on these calls/pitches?

Surely having the captain of your national team and a world superstar would be helpful in convincing these types of players.

Does anyone know where they have said this. Their last tweet about Rabiot was about him going to the french PFA

Wishlisting here a bit but I'd personally be thrilled with bringing in Rabiot, recalling Onomah, and gazumping Bordeaux for Maja for £4m or so.

If we were also able to shift GKN, Janssen, and potentially Llorente that would probably leave us significantly in profit for this window. We'd have shored up most of the current glaring weaknesses in the squad and kept our powder dry for the summer when we may need to replace Toby and Eriksen.

Cursed by his mama Togo-style!:sneaky:

This whole story always reminds me of Papa Shango, my favourite Wrestler as a kid back in the 90s

Back to the topic... still can't see a slim chance of Rabiot joining us, even though the outlet is reliable. Maybe his entourage have leaked this to force the hand of barca (the switch he obviously prefers) and there would be a bit of a strange feeling to know we have been second choice...but propably that's been often the case and we didn't even know it

This is the best possible outcome we could have this transfer window and definitely worth the risk. He can step in right now and contribute, the fee is small considering his talent, and would perhaps allow a splurge on another player (Werner type). The fact that Poch is calling him personally (assuming tjat is true) would tell you he wants him.

Probably wont happen but would be huge. If he causes trouble cant imagine it would be that hard to get rid of and make money back.

Poch could lead me into war where I face my own demise so if this is true I'm hopeful Poch can convince him.

Maybe this is where Brexit could help - Rabiot could certainly get a work permit, but maybe the home office can keep his mom out of the country...

To be fair we have pretty good insight into his character via Lloris, Lucas, Aurier, Sissoko. They probably know a little bit about his notorious mother as well.

Have we had ITK on Rabiot specifically before?
Yes, quite a bit. Most of it has been reported though that he was going to Barca. If Barcelona are getting De Jong, they won't have a use for Rabiot anymore.

Barca have shit loads of CMs, just signed KPB so if De jong goes there surely that’s it

It is kind of nuts to me that Rabiot is wanted this badly by Poch. Not for talent (immensely talented), but because of the headaches surrounding him. For as much as Poch talks about character, etc to want someone like Rabiot is odd. But I guess he had the same infatuation with Osvaldo.

I want Rabiot in, fwiw. Even if it goes tits up we should still be able to make a good amount of money on his sale.

You'd think it'd take a few things for this to happen:-

1) Barca to cool on him
2) Poch to play a blinder in the meeting
3) Levy to put together a package (signing on fee, agent fee and wages) that is competitive*
4) No one like City or Chelsea to jump in while ongoing.

You'd think PSG would do us a good deal just to spite PSG, so I wouldn't expect too big a fee.
