Wow! What an article. I feel like we might finally have some answers to the riddle that is Adebayor. An excellent read

Unlike most players who when asked about their new boss say "actually I'm a bit worried, I think he's shit - still hopefully he'll pick me a lot"

As long as he doesn't talk smack at Pochettino or slam his tactics in front of other players he'll be fine... He should also understand that there is competition for places, rather than the VIP 'keys to the club' privileges and personal back rubs he got off Sherwood, after helping him become manager. That being said Soldado (if he stays) should do very well under Pochettino.

So long as Poch doesn't stick to just one plan even though it's clearly not working and doesn't bring in petty rules he'll be fine I'm sure.

What utter and unmitigated shit some of you morons talk -- it makes my blood boil. So Adebayor and Sherwood had some sort of sneaky backroom deal going on? Adebayor scored 11 from 21 in open play last season and was surely picked on merit, and Sherwood was a passable caretaker manager who's gone now, and good luck to him. I really don't understand the slack-jawed bile spewed upon either of these men. Are you very young or very stupid, or both?

I agree, it was a total clusterfuck by AvB to not play the 1 striker most suited for his system.

Given the drivel he writes, it's really difficult to tell.

Whatever anyone thinks about Sherwood's management style we finished three points worse off than the previous season with a change of management and an horrendous injury list. During that period he motivated Ade to score eleven in twenty one games. Without those goals we would have finished something like eleventh i believe.

Still, you cannot stop some fools hating what they clearly do not understand.

Jeez people calm down and put those pitchforks away. Crazyheart has an opinion albeit a strange one. Think Im right in saying he lives in America so doesn't see the full picture like you do watching the game live. Apologies if that sounds patronising but I think it goes a long way to explaining the AVB loving.
Peace.

Jeez, some of you folks need to calm down... It's just an opinion! And how does being American suddenly lead one to AVB fandom exactly? I've not mentioned him once here - I don't have to, as we now have a qualified manager who knows what the frak he's doing!

Dont you know this by now? Being American automatically makes you an idiot wrt football! Or at least thats what alot of people here like to think. Ironically though, we have a better national team.

Lets not get into the national side debate, I don't give a fuck about the England side, one bit! I'm THFC, that's it, I can't see Soldado featuring in the side the way Poch likes to play, I think Ade is made to measure for it and if he's up for it under the new bloke we could be onto something!

Ironically (to coin your phrase) in actual fact your National team is not........

But hey why let the facts get in the way of a good argument?

Being an American does not make you or any other American an idiot regarding football, writing statements without checking facts will.

Happy belated 4th July. As a Brit living between London and Denver we had a great time here in Colorado on Friday.

You didn't really state an opinion on Sherwood, it was just made up bullshit. Can you not understand that a lot of SC members are fed up with members just slating a player or manager with made up bullshit?

At the end of the day why have you posted a defence if you didn't think your initial post had anything wrong in it?
