Had an 8 and a 7 fold acca come in for me this week. £268 & £64 won on £5 stakes. Dortmund saved my bacon with a 90+1 winner.

Had this yesterday for £627 and frickin Palace let me down. They dominated, got sucker punched, pulled it back and then proceeded to miss a number of chances late on. I was so disappointed, as I expected Spurs to let me down on this.

One away in my acca again this week. Would have won £230.

I keep getting one away but one result always seems to let me down (this time the odds on Zagreb winning were 1/5). I know that’s the nature of accas but I can’t decide if I’m just being unlucky and should keep going or if I should stop as there will always be one team that lets me down no matter how odds on they are.

Advice appreciated

I had an 18 ACCA up this week it paid £233.
I also had the 16 ACCA as well.
Villas loss to Wolves and Roma losing to the Vikings fucked up a few other accas.

One thing I would say is bookies love accas. As I presume you know the bookies set the odds so that they don't pay out at 100% with them instead paying out at about a total of 90% or thereabouts. With an acca this 10% difference gets multiplied so with say a 6-fold the odds you get are something like 40% less than if the bookies paid out at 100% (could be more or less, I can't remember the exact maths). With a 13-fold you're probably getting much less than what half the odds would be with a 100% payout.

This article explains it better than I can.

Still, doesn't seem to be doing Houdini any harm. Personally, I try to limit my accas to four-folds.

I was a bookie for about 8 years (BT Racing) we had a couple of shops, one at West Drayton and another in Northolt.
The long accas were almost always placed by people of, shall I say, an earlier generation..Ted (85) done one every day, sometimes 12/14 selections and I asked him why so many? He said " cos one day they'll all come in and I'll get back all the money I've lost to you bastards over the years".... It did actually happen, twice, and old ted (bless him) was as happy as someone who, well, had just had it right off with a 12 ACCA!
Back then there was a rule regarding night racing, that rule was that we had a max pay out of £5k if any of the races were night races....anyway, he won about £8k and my partner was all for slicing the extra £3k off his winnings....I talked him out of it saying it's bad policy and reflects badly on us and they will sooner rather than later walk a bit further and place their bets with WillHill or Ladbrokes.
I even drove him home with his winnings and was about to tell his son when he said, " no, don't let that fucker know he'll nick half of it" .
The point is, it didn't matter to me, I was happy that he won.....it became the talk of the estate he was asked for tips everyday....me, well like I said I didn't care really.....I laid the bet off twice as I've always done so it cost me fuck all.

Was so tempted to cash out, but the fact that the games left when the bet started winning were all favourites meant I held my nerve... Screenshot_20211201-221114.png

Anyone else see the two massive accas this week?

One paying £281k for a £7.00 stake. "One William Hull punter enjoyed a day they certainly will never forget after turning their £7 stake into remarkable winnings of £281k at Southwell on Tuesday".

Not forgetting this from earlier in the year.

A punter took a £250k cash out before his last selection ran, The 40-year-old was on for a £511,000 windfall if the final horse of his selections came in, but decided to take a partial cash out offer before Envoi Allen took to the track.

And it proved to be an inspired call, as the horse fell in the first race of the day.

Dean's decision meant that instead of losing everything, he pocketed £250,000 at the expense of Betfair.

?

** I'd just like to add that I would suck Satan's cock in order to get 250k cash out!

I have noticed recently that sky bet are absolute rip off merchants. I have been doing a goal in both half bets and the same £5 bet i placed at Skybet gave a return of £480 and my pals returned £700 with Billy Hills so i am using them from now on as i have checked a few since and Sky are robbing bar stewards with the odds.

Bit annoying as the SB platform pisses all over the competitors.

Yeah, they're poor apart from the boosts. Don't rely on hills though - oddschecker is your friend! If you're betting on long accas the difference in odds can be very big.
