So, having had to endure the horrendous visions of Christmas past, the bitter old man - who liked nothing more than making money and being nasty to his employees - is transported to a tumbledown dwelling where he sees Tiny Tim struggling to get by and not long for this earth.
He is mightily touched by the simple happiness of Tim and so, in an unusual act of faith, he decides to save him.
Subsequently, everyone gets lumbered with a huge turkey and is totally fed up come Boxing Day.
