Hugo Lloris has become only the 12th player to make 400 appearances for the Club. Our captain and goalkeeper reached the milestone in all competitions in the memorable 3-2 victory at Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Potentially could make the top 10 appearances for the club by the end of the season, and would be the first non-UK player to do so.

Everyone makes judgment errors now and then. . Overall I feel he’s been a model spurs professional..

Imagine if our outfield players were judged as harshly each time they had an iffy first touch. His world class save easily cancels out the mistake and the rest of his performance was good, so his overall impact on the game was positive - not negative, as some comments on SC imply.

Kane was almost unanimously considered MotM, despite failing to score a 1-on-1 and despite a few misplaced passes / less than perfect touches / not winning every aerial duel...but Lloris is held to a higher standard than our star player. ?

Romero's performance was also praised, despite him conceding a penalty.

3 games on the trot he has palmed away into dangerous areas things he potentially could have caught, got away with it at Southampton and we have been punished since. The habit needs work.

It’s so very easy to focus in on errors. I just watched the goals against Man City again - where’s their keeper? I still believe Hugo to be in the top 3-5 prem keepers. Show me someone who could replace him, and I’ll start listening actively … until then, I’m happy - yes, happy - to see him ride out a few errors every now and then, versus the (positive) displays he gives us. There’s way too many pockets of criticism given to numerous individuals within our squad: stop using Man City, Liverpool & Chelski as the stick to beat our players with, the bar to compare to; we ain’t them - it’s incommensurable

We'll have to maintain a difference of opinion then, he may scrape into the top 5 but not the top 3. I'm not saying he is the worst keeper, he's inconsistent and has more major calamity moments than the top 3. He's needs to work on that catching and the other keepers may have their own weaknesses to work on but this is currently Hugo's and its been highlighted in the last 3 games. That's my opinion and I respect that you have a different one.

Hope the keeping coach is working on his catching.

No bites on your first post, so you figured you'd double down, just to be on the safe side?

The guy made a mistake, in the one position on the pitch where there's no teammate to bail him out. It happens.

Was he on the winning side?
