After another abject performance on a cold night oop north the cracks are really beginning to show. I am beginning to think we all know what the problem is but how do we resolve it? If Jol is out, Whose coming in? Whatever the excuses, and disasters we have had these passed 10 games - we are where we are - so how do we get out of this mess.

Is relegation a possibility...I shudder to think...:bang:

We will not get relegated, we score too many goals for that to happen.

What really pisses me off is that any decent defensive coach could sort out many of our problems at the back, so why is it not happening?

To be brutally honest I think I personally know some coaches who could pretty quickly sort out our problems at the back, they aren't difficult to see or to correct.

Ardiles knew what it's all about and now it's seems Jol is trying to do it same way

We have a run of games which should be wins.... if anything else then i can see the end for Jol.

As stated above there are coaches out there that can 'sure up' the defence. My call would be for Capello... he has already stated he would be interested.

Sorry Jol but its all to predictable for me.... the players dont want it and when that happens its over for the manager... shame as you have to respect Jol's honesty. :violin:

We need a leader on the pitch like King or Naybet or Davids not the dubious leadership of Keane or Dawson

the central defenders don't communicate with each other enough. Same with the central midfielders. There needs to be a lot more talking on the pitch. Chimbonda and kaboul both like to come forward with the ball, which is fine, so long as other players cover for them. Dawson and Robinson need their long ball tendancies eliminated as when we're under pressure the ball just comes straight back. it baffles me when teams do that. Far better to put it in the stands and have that twenty second chance to reorganise. Set piece marking should probably go to man rather than zonal marking.

our defence is quite frankly woeful. we got away with it last season because of the amount of goals we scored, however last seasons wins have been turned into draws and losses.

we've been conceding goals from set pieces for over a season now on a regular basis, and its down to the work, (or lack of), on the training pitch. we had 7 clean sheets in the league last season yet we finished 5th. if we could sort out our defence we'd be in with a shout of going place, however until we do, we're going to fail miserably as we are now.

i think im right in saying only the scum have scored more league goals then us this season which says everything we need to know.
