Ah, I thought you might have meant that one.

My pals say that 1974 trouble was one of the worst they ever saw. The said a cop was thrown over the back of the stand and it was a massive drop and he wasn't moving afterwards.

there was plenty of claret in the 84. don't think the police gave a shit. it was my 1st and last ever game abroad, after that season work, health marriage kids, and even worst health stopped me going full stop.

I did have a season ticket for the 2 Hoddle years as manager, but financially a real struggle, didn't know about the car parks and free spaces for blue badges, so was in agony by time I got to the ground. only been to 4 or 5 league games since the 01/02 season I think, a few cup Europa, League, and FA, but know where near the times of the 73/74 to 83/84 seasons, was gutted I was working just to far away to be able to guarantee getting there and getting home for the 84 Final

All I remember from that night at WHL was bunking off school early, travelling up from south london with a couple of mates and queuing to get onto the Shelf

48,000 packed in. From memory was a pretty cold day/night but once we were on the shelf the temperature made it feel like we were watching the game in Barbados!

Never went to any aways in Europe in those days as was just a bit too young and my dad didnt do Europe anymore since the glory glory night in Rotterdam in 1963!.

My first away in Europe wasnt until 99' FC Kaiserslautern and eventually got to Anderlecht in 06' which was quite intimidating (for modern times)

To be honest with my vehicle I would just love it to do just 1 trip abroad, shame my health would make it a mare and my luck would most probably see my van damaged lol.

The Ajax home game with us 4-0 up at half was possibly the best half of football I've seen Spurs play, Hoddle was unplayable that night and Crujff who had decided to mark him couldn't get near him. Crujff scored a cracker in the second half Rijkaard and Gullit both played for Ajax that night finished 4-2

This 100%. And that goes for any other recollections of Tottenham past as well.
Very interesting!
Please keep sharing.

wished I had more, all I know is if we ever played Feynoord again, and went by the official coach, 1, make sure everyone is told once outside the coach park, split up a little 200 pissed up bodies walking in file with your colours on makes you a sitting duck:cautious:

The chap that missed the final penalty for Anderlecht was named Arnor Gudjohnson.
And Arnor Gudjohnson is the father of Eidur Gudjohnson.

I only just discovered this.

Is it widely known?

did not know this. Thought icelandic names worked differently.
