Bit unfair that the article portrays his time at Juve as a squad player. Up until this season he was a first team regular

He is a great signing if the club can find a better partner to sit in there with him then the team along with additional signings will look good.

Dejan and Rodrigo are the best high impact signings that I can recall since Klinsmann, Dumitrescu and Popescu in their first season with us...

There is value in the transfer market people! It makes you think back to the 'its very difficult to improve our team days'. You still have to look for and sign good players. They make the squad better, push other players and keep it fresh.

Right now he looks like the best signing we have made in years.

He is absolutely what we have been missing in midfield and I think he is linking it all together.

One of the most impressive things about him is his visible on-field communication and leadership. This is something the team have desperately needed. He looks like he orchestrates a lot of play around him when he isn't on the ball. It's a key function in midfield to let other players know where the outball is if they are under pressure or dithering.

In this way, he reminds me a little of the impact Bruno Fernandes had at Man U. Bruno's number were great (8 goals, 8 assists in his first half season, 18 and 14 in his first full season), but as importantly, he seemed to drive some improvement in players around him. It's not such a clear story now since Ronaldo signed, which may be a cause or a correlation.

Anyway, Bentancur looks at home at Spurs and long may his form and influence continue.
