I don't expect us to spend the money Manchester City do but I think we should be able to match Liverpool and Arsenal's spending power. Otherwise, what was the point of the new stadium and the subsequent debt?
We spend the same amount of money on more players. We haven't spent £85 million or above on a single player with the wages that comes with. We also sold our best player whilst those clubs didn't.
Why can't we afford to spend like Liverpool or Arsenal do then? We seem to be quite ambitious and take risks when it comes to financial/business ventures when it suits ENIC but funnily enough we can't ever take risks when it comes to the footballing side.
Why? If we aren't going to spend the money to buy players like Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool do and challenge them, all CL qualification does is just get more revenue for Levy that we won't spend anyway
It is more from the side than from behind and he doesn't really leave his feet much. It wasn't a great tackle and got a deserved yellow but if a spurs player had been sent off for that, most people on here would be going mental.
