Timo Werner on a 6 month loan with option to buy for around £15m-£17m could be a very smart deal. He’s rapid and on paper should suit Ange’s system. If this frees up budget for the CB then can’t see anything wrong with this move to be honest.
What a great day, everything about it. Even the walk to the stadium, there was a buzz about the place that hasn’t been there for so long. As for the football, we were well worth the win and the fans fully deserved it for the fantastic atmosphere created today. Love this club!!!
My then hero Hoddle leaving was devastating for me, but I was 10 back then 😂 I have since seen Waddle, Lineker, Gazza, Teddy, Ginola, Bale leave so you’d think I’d get used to it. No, I haven’t as this one has hit different….
Yeah it didn’t feel any different to how Kane thanks fans after games win, lose or draw.
The 4 goals today basically is a pay up or shut up to Bayern Munich. Squabbling over £15m-£20m when you have a free run at signing him is crazy. Next year, as a free agent, I very much doubt he goes to...
@Rob Hope so mate. I saw the Spurs font at the back, but not Kane in PL. just racks and racks of Son (and even PEH). No Kane though. This was around 13:25, maybe they’ve all sold 🤞
Not sure if it’s been posted in here already but the Spurs shop did not have any pre-printed Kane shirts in PL font in any size. Probably means nothing but they had pretty much every other player apart from Maddison (who is perhaps mostly to take no.10 if Kane goes)
We’re always interested in selling and buying at our ‘right price’. Basically buy at lower than the going rate and sell at higher than the players value. Net result, we mostly miss out on targets and have unwanted players bloating the squad. Year after year…
My infants and junior school years were through the 80s in north London. I would say the split was pretty even between Spurs, Arsenal and… Liverpool for the glory hunters!? This is perhaps why Liverpool are amongst my top 3 disliked teams. Couldn’t see a Chelsea or even a West Ham fan anywhere...
In his broadcaster interview AP said something about going on his family holiday from Tuesday next week. The way he made it sound is that he’ll be leaving everything behind and will be fully switching off after the long season.
Perhaps we’ll find out either way by end of Monday…
Angelos Postecoglou is a Greek name, but Oglou part seemingly comes from Turkic/Ottoman/Asia Minor origin of Oğlu which means “son of’. The first part of his surname could also derive from Postacı which mean Postman. So his name origins could actually be ‘Postman’s Son’ which would make sense in...
My original choice has always been JN, but as of last week (and following the ‘we were never interested’ report) I switched my vote to AS. Right now, I don’t care which one we end up with because I see pros and cons to each, but am equally excited. One thing I do not agree with in here though is...
Just got back, livid. At HT we should’ve been 2 or even 3 goals up and you could feel that Brentford would eventually find a way through our back line. Indeed they did, we crumbled and were well beaten in the end. Some fans around us were waiting for any encouragement to lay into Sanchez...
