League of their Own was great fun, very Madders focused (i don't watch it normally so don't know if they always make it all about the guest). He's very sharp and witty, they all loved him.
Jamie Redknapp a little too much...!
Oh yeah for sure. He's been nothing short of sensational.
I wouldn't swap him for any other keeper in the world at the moment, not only for his ability but the way he has slotted into the team, and the way he effects the team spirit etc, he's just the perfect fit for us.
He may have been slightly at fault for their goal, yes, but we also don't score our second without his part in it.
He's a fantastic player and we'd be far worse off without him.
Other than a slightly shaky first game against Brentford, and the very odd slight mishap playing out from the back (which will always happen to the very best keepers) has he even really made a proper mistake yet?
The guy is brilliant, been absolutely sublime and is a proper character to boot...
I love how we've gone from "a team of 2 players" who if injured, would detail our team, to now being "a team of 3 or 4 players" who we'd be screwed without.
No shit sherlock, take any teams best 3 or 4 players out and they'd be fucked.
As much as the outcry about this match has been massively excessive, and the VAR debacle had allowed the narrative that there were countless other terrible decisions (there weren't, two maybe max), I actually don't mind it too much because it keeps us under the radar a little still.
No one is...
The red card rule is fine as it is. If you can't make a tackle without dangerously going too high for the ball so that your studs glance the top, roll over it and into the planted leg of your opponent, then you shouldn't be on the field.
I mean yeah there's a fair bit of recency bias and hyperbole in my post lol, but he's just slotted in like he's been here for years. Brilliant signing.
Has a signing ever seemed more of a perfect fit for us than Maddison? He's fitted in seamlessly, his playing style just oozes Spurs and he feels like he's been here for years.
Signing of the season without a doubt, don't even need the rest of the season to conclude to know this.
I think the point that Alfie is spectacularly managing to miss is that Ange believes that the style of football he gets his teams to play is the best way for him to win games.
He's not just trying to play pretty football and hoping he might win the odd match as a byproduct of that. Lol. Jeez.
Do you actually have a point?
Essentially you seem to be picking holes in what Ange has said due to A: Levy and B: The fact we didn't do well in the Carabao cup.
Would I be correct?
I thought the complete opposite. Twice he's been pressed by two players and calmly came away with the ball. And his recovery pace looks rapid to me. I'm impressed so far.
Kane didn't cost us a transfer fee, if he honours his contract and goes on a free next year then so be it. Personally I'll be happy to see another season of the best Spurs player I've seen in my life, and he'll smash it in an attacking Ange team.
