If that article is correct, he has 2 managers who want him to join their club, but one of those managers is not at that club next season.
Bit easier for a manager to convince a player to join him when he is still in the clubs plans going forward.
I think the main "new" point is he was a Xavi signing and Xavi is no longer there.
Others at Barca aren't as convinced on him.
That was my take anyway.
Even though we missed out on him, I really hope his career is not hampered by these injuries.
You have to feel sorry for the kid, even though he may still have a very good career and earn more than most of us.
It is unfortunate we have supposedly pulled out of negotiations but if we didn't want to overpay, and if the player is now happy with moving to brentford, so be it.
We may regret it, but that is the case with all transfers, successful and not successful.
Risk vs reward taken into account and...
Very true and that is why he is available to us and at the quoted price of under €30m.
However, it is risk vs reward, and the reward with Nusa could be amazing.
However as with all risks, he could fail.
It is worth risking at that price though imo.
I think we really want one of these young prospects this window, and since vermeeren is now unlikely, I am confident we are all in on nusa, even though obviously completely different players.
From the limited viewing I have (now) done on both players, nusa looks like he could be "potentially" that absolute excitement attacking machine with an unlimited ceiling.
These kind of players are rarer imo than the brilliant midfield players that Vermeeren could "potentially" become.
However...
I have never seen Vermeeren play, but let's not forget we have Sarr who is also still very young.
Maybe Vermeeren is nothing like Sarr, so in that case ignore me.
Yeah it is an interesting dilemma for Brugge.
Do they hold him until the summer and hope to get more interest, and possibly more money for him?
Let's hope for our sake they are happy with whatever we offer, and whenever we offer it.
Not sure if it has been discussed in this thread (I can't see it being discussed), but the elephant in the room for me is whether Brugge need to sell this window.
If they don't need the cash this window, why would they not hold onto him until the summer, when he would probably be worth more and...
So from what I can ascertain from the great info we are getting from itk, is we obviously want to get Nusa in asap to beat our competition, mainly because we are currently in a better position financially than the aforementioned competition.
However, Brugge obviously want a bidding war to get...
Edit: @BorjeSpurs summed up what i was trying to say below while I was typing my post.
It has been touched on in this thread, but is Emerson really an Ange system attacking right back (which Porro definitely is) or more an Ange system defensive centre back?
My point in this is while he is...
I remember being so excited by his signing.
A world class player that was probably wasted by our previous manager and then gets injured when the perfect manager for him comes along.
Oh well, these things can happen.
All the best for the rest of your career, Ivan.
This link is definitely very exciting.
Looks a very good young prospect from my, albeit, limited viewing.
Hopefully we hear some more positive developments on this possible transfer soon.
I know this is the Gallagher thread but just on Morgan Gibbs White, I did read somewhere we are looking at him, but can't find source. I don't think it was a great source anyway and he may be out of our price range.
Anyway back on topic, I agree that I can't see Chelsea selling us Gallagher...
