Reading all the posts, before I thought it was just me who could not bear to watch the final back, when I got back from Madrid, and I think it must be still on the BT Box - unwatched..
The ‘penalty was a killer’ but from what I remember about the game we played pretty well, and Winks had a...
I follow the youth team quite closely and Tyrese Hall (who City are apparently courting), Donley and Moore show real signs of quality.
Bergval is also highly rated and won’t be coming to rot in our youth team or go on loan to Gillingham etc you would think.
I don’t know what’s happened to our...
Pavlovic looks one hell of a prospect so far at 19.
If there is one thing I am looking forward to next season it’s the prospect of seeing some our academy players given a go.
Tomorrow is going to be epic.
I like Dortmund too and their fans were brilliant at Wembley a few years ago when we beat them 3-0.
Be good to see H get to another CL final, and then have the opportunity to blow raspberries at all his sniveling critics.
Highlights here if anyone is interested.
Impressive performance from our young defender Byfield who kept the Woolwich striker Obi (who has been running riot recently) pretty quiet - all over him like a cheap suit!.
We are damned if we do and dammed if we don’t against City.
If we lose Woolwich will no doubt say that we rolled over in spite against them, but if we get a result then they will probably try to spin it that they won the title at WHL!.
I am probably over analysing it, but suffice to say that...
Sent off today in the 85th minute for an off the ball clash!.
Shame he blotted his copybook as it’s been a successful loan for him.
Be interesting to see what happens to him next season….
I am sure they will but I think we will beat them 3-1 or something.
Big changes still needed but how many times have we been here.
Stick with Ange for now though, or we will just repeat the old cycle.
We’re just treating water at the moment aren’t we. Need to be careful about what’s below us. The only wins I can see are against Burnley and Sheff Utd, which might see us through to 5th.
We are living off our first 10 games.
You mean paying the players top money, to attract the most likely to succeed. It’s never a guarantee of success, but it gives them a better chance I suppose.
City obviously, and rightly get a lot of flak for financial doping, but for their Academy to turn out 3 elite level players like Sancho, Foden and Palmer in such a short space of time is pretty impressive.
