Finally released:
VAR 1: "Is it offside?"
VAR 2: "Doesn't look like it. Shall we draw the lines?"
VAR 1: "Nah it's only Spuds w*****s. Hurry up"
VAR 2: "OK, cool. Check complete"
What a wonderful season. Yes, in some respects we've been unlucky these past two seasons. On the other hand, last season's total would have had us a distant sixth this season, and this season's total (if what I've read is correct) would only have won about a third of premiership titles. I do...
Apparently there's a report out somewhere to the effect that less than 4% of corners result in goals for the attacking side. Factor in the chances of conceding on the breakaway and you'd be excused for wondering how worthwhile they are at all.
I think Poch should do his press conferences standing up. Sitting down is too passive, and when you stand up and speak, your voice and personality project with greater power. Press Conferences being as much about image as content, this is important ;)
Now that it's confirmed, I have one or two questions about the Wembley pitch and also about the new pitch at the New WHL.
1. Will we mark the Wembley pitch to the same dimensions as we have at present.
2. What will be the dimensions at the new WHL?
3. How similar will the playing surface be to...
It's daft that the press and pundits watch us overhaul the so called big guns one after the other throughout the season and then label us legends when we finally fall short because of a slow start. Two seasons running now we've had slow starts, and it's happened in several previous seasons too...
Controversial, perhaps but I've never agreed with it. I hope we don't come second rather than first because of it, in spite of having a more attacking record.
I'm hearing a lot of pundits saying that this year's PL is poor but I'm not so sure.
At the start of the season plenty of people pointed out that many middle-ranking teams had strengthened by making good buys and that we - ie Spurs - would struggle to achieve fourth place as a result. In the...
Absolutely nothing to do with me, and I don't know the seller but I just came across this on ebay - every single programme for the entire season, home and away including friendlies. I used to have (maybe still do somewhere) a copy of the final programme of the season, home to WBA (lost 2-1!!!)...
I get a little peeved sometimes when I see reference to the phrase "pass and move" on Spurs forums. (Only a little - it's understandable in some ways).
Here's an extract from an article that traces "the Spurs Way" back to the 1920s, with its defining characteristic of "Think space and shape...
Dinner with AVB - talking face to face about all things Spurs - lot 66 in the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation timed auction - bidding already up to £920 but for all you city types that'll be peanuts yeah?
Some interesting items there. I particularly like lot 74 - A Day With The Suffolk...
I just read this on the BBC site for this evening's programme. Doesn't really bother me that much - made me chuckle more than anything... long may we remain under the radar

If you ever need to call the ticket office, especially from a mobile phone, you might want to use this number instead of the 0844 number on the site.
020 7998 1068
Even if you have unlimited landline calls on your home phone deal, it probably excludes 0844 and the like. Today my call to...
I was sat diagonally opposite the Shelf Side corner with Park Lane at the weekend, up at the northern end of the West Stand. And I enjoyed the competitive chanting of "We're the Shelf side" and "We're the Park Lane" etc. And I was wondering how cool it would be if the folk behind the goal at the...
I thought I'd share something with you. Nearly 20 years ago I was lucky enough to play against an AllStars team in a tournament in Singapore. Alan Kennedy was in the team (also Ossie Ardiles, Gerry Armstrong, Willie and Rene van der Kerhof, Rainer Bonhof, Alex Stepney, Alan Ball, Tony Woodcock...
"Than the famous Spurs there is probably no more famous club in the whole of England. Did they not recover the Association Cup for the South? Do they not play pretty and effective football? Are they not scrupulously fair? Are they not perfectly managed?"
William Pickford and Alfred Gibson...
Does anyone share my anorak-like passion for poring over the stats and results pages in programmes, and my frustration at not being able to find anything similar online? All I want is to be able to look at the whole fixture list, results and all, home side score first in all cases, rather than...
