The Spurs Transfer Wishlist & Scouting Thread

I wasn't sure about Grealish last summer, but my opinion of him has grown the way he's knuckled back down and been their leader this season. He's showing great maturity to go along with his talent. If it's true that his new contract has a clause letting him go if they don't go up we should all...

I feel pretty confident that filling out the stadium for the tests won’t be a problem even if some people want to wait for the first match. But hey, nice passive aggressiveness.

I think some people want their first experience of the stadium to be with a full-house for a real match. I made that decision myself a while back that it’s how I wanted it to be.

Chin up mate. At 2-0 I was consoling myself with the thought that the CL QF under the lights was going to be the real baptism of the stadium anyway, and I would be there for that.

It was the other way round for me. Might find him on social media and send him a bottle of Scotch.

For 30m it’s almost a total no-brainer. Even if he doesn’t make it you’d make a far bit back.

I can’t make the Brighton game too. So I’m really hoping Chrissy gets the job done.

If Brighton win - Palace is the 1st game. Brighton lose, they are the 1st game.

    Player watch: Christian Eriksen

Flat track bully? Give me a break. Just off the top of my head, his winning goal at the Etihad, his pass to Dele for that goal in the FA Cup semi, his two crosses for Dele when we beat them 2-0 at WHL, his goal against Inter this season. The guy has pulled off top quality moments against top...

Grealish is an almost entirely natural talent. You look at the managers he’s had at Villa and it’s a who’s who of mediocrity. Poch can definitely extract some more from the well.

Who do we want in the last 8 of the Champions League?

One thing's for sure - head groundsman, don't you dare cut that new pitch from now until the QF. We want it looking like a long-grass.

Who do we want in the last 8 of the Champions League?

Only small positive is that the first leg is at our new home. We can used some of that positive energy to try and lift ourselves to do something special. How shit would it have been if the first CL tie at the new ground would have been a dead rubber after a humping at their place?

I suspect he’s just looked at our recent results, and fair enough, we’re in poor form.

I’ve not been that impressed with Kovacic at Chelsea. He’s been tidy, nothing more. Maybe it’s Sarri’s system, but expected more from him. He’s made noises about staying there too.

You can look to the Liverpool example or you can look at Dortmund. They lost two of their best players in Dembele and PEA, and put their faith in gathering young talent to great effect. OK, they may not win their league, but they will be more of a mental thing, than a failure to recruit...

It’s a big test for the Poch/Levy/Hitchen combo, that’s for sure. I’m hoping that the with the uncertainty over the stadium over Levy will be able to both put more time into the window and be more confident about the financials. But, as you say, proof will be in the pudding.
