I'm liking him more and more and more. I always felt there was something there with him, but it, perhaps completely understandably, has taken a little while to truly come out. He's definitely stepped up a gear or two over the last few games, showing much more agression, confidence, and hard work off the ball. He's showing a cocky side more now, making the comparisons with Dele even more inevitable, but you love to see it.

He's our best winger at the moment, and across the whole season I'd say.

This is the Brennan Johnson we all want to see. I'm glad he's proving those of us who called him timid wrong. Loved his attitude today, he needs to keep this up and he will keep on getting better. Happy for him and for us!

The thing I liked most was he showed more confidence and was more assertive both in and out of possession.

It made a huge difference and he looked much better as a result.

If he grows in confidence and keeps believing in himself more and more, then he could become the player we all want him to be.

Thought his finish was Sonesque too.

Yeah agree he's showing a more aggressive streak which I like

Agree with the sentiment on here. I'm warming to Johnson. Now seems to have a habit (a good one BTW) of being in the right place at the right time; or putting balls across to others in the right place at the right time. Like his aggression too. Today showed how properly channeled aggression can stifle the opposition. Johnson is a quick learner, who is now postively combining his obvious pace with increased aggression. Long may it continue.

Genuinely looks better in his first season than Son did
Hopefully he goes on to be at least near to his level as time goes on

He's definitely ahead of Deki for me. I would prefer to see him on the right though but happy that he's getting comfortable playing on either flank. 4 goals & 6 assists in the league in his 1st season at a new club? Not bad at all.
Our Manager doesn't agree.

I like cocky Brennan. He plays way better than the timid version.

It's also great to have a cocky character or two in the team. We last had that in Dele. We have Madders and I'm hoping Brennan too.

Don't forget Richy when he plays. He loves to boil piss. We have a swagger within the group and you could see that after Maupay's goal celebration. We can and will take it and then give it back even more.

Thought he had an excellent game, and he showed he can play on the left in the inverted role. Think it's a confidence thing. He was driving inside at pace whenever he saw the opportunity yesterday and spaces opened up for him to lay the ball off for others in dangerous positions. Got the goal too.

And Vic, Romero, Maddison etc. As you say, there’s a real swagger throughout the team now.

For a long time it felt like as a group we were playing in Kane’s shadow. Now we have big characters all over the pitch.

I love having players with personality and I do like (to hate) opposition players with personality. Makes it more enjoyable and far less boring.
