Nice post mate.

What I would say about this is you're possibly right BUT it's hard to know how a talent will develop. As much as a young player can struggle or fail to develop, they can also explode especially when surrounded by good players and a good coach.

Re your last paragraph and the *, that's just common sense right. Anyone that watches football knows there are no certainties as so many things can wrong and if it was that easy there would never be any failures when it comes to transfers. We certainly shouldn't need to caveat this every time we like a player for example, none of us are nostradamus!

What I would say is every single elite team has been heavily scouting him and wants him. Ange wants him too and that should provide comfort to Spurs fans and tell them how much of a talent this kid is.
For sure and that’s why mentality is so incredibly important. Probably more important than talent. If a player is dedicated to improving then there is no telling how quickly or significantly he might develop. We had the prime example of that in Kane. It’s also what got me so excited by Ange supposedly changing his mind about wanting him this window after talking to him. That to me suggest Ange thinks he’s ready to be part of the squad already, maybe not a significant part on the pitch but still in and around the team off it. Obviously the reality of how he is in training remains to be seen but in general I find it very encouraging. He obviously thinks he has the right personality as well as the right skill set.

As you say, everyone is different and thus there is no set outline for when a player is ready. But I do think as a general rule of thumb with young players it’s always best to assume it will be a longer period before they are ready to contribute significantly. Doing this reduces the expectation and pressure on his shoulders and allows a player space to develop.

Re the *, your spot on but mate, looking at certain threads on here, I think although it might be obvious to most there will no doubt be those disappointed when/if he joins and isn’t skinning 5 players then putting it in the top corner every game.

Same thing is said when every highly rated young player moves. Kids in this bracket are always watched/monitored by a good number of higher profile sides and it's just a case of they don't move until they do. With any 18yo it's going to be somewhat of a gamble and it's waiting for a team to take that chance on them.
I've no doubt they are scouting/monitoring him. I was just questioning the statement that every elite club wants him. At this stage it appears none have decided to make an approach for him.

Came in expecting transfer updates. Instead find a bunch of people getting cold feet over us potentially signing an 18-year-old. This place. 😆

It was people putting predictions articles in here as if they're news. They've now been deleted

(Only mentioning it so the thread doesn't spiral into an A&C knows something bad has happened)

Yes, it was me putting a link to Football London. I Didnt know it wasn't allowed outside of the ITK thread. Apologies for making anyone excitable about a non story.

I know I trust our current scouting and recruiting network a whole lot more than I have done for many years. Ange values character and attitude very highly and we've recently brought in the likes of Bentancur, Kulusevski, Sarr, Van de Ven, Udogie, Porro, Maddison, Dragusin etc who all have top attitudes. If Nusa reaches the criteria set by our scouts I can only assume they are confident in his ability to step up.

Actually no, maybe a little bit of you posting that, but more the poster who thinks 'football insider' is any sort of source

It pisses one off when one feels one has to repeat oneself for the thousandth time *Does the royal wave and gets driven orf

Maybe there is a bit on confusion from the poster, if you have a look at page 21 of this thread, there are ITKs and others suggesting the source is legit, even though its a crap twitter page. Usually agree with your rules on this matter, but like is said, maybe the poster thought that one was allowed in this thread.

He has very quick feet and is very good at using body feints and stepovers to beat players. How that translates to the PL is tough to know but he's currently a very good dribbler and I think the youtuber undersells this aspect of his game.

Think of how dangerous Saka and Martinelli are for Scum. They are direct with their dribbling yet are two of the most dangerous wide players in the league. Same with Luis Diaz too.

Nusa is more naturally talented than any of those players when it comes to dribbling I'd say and just because he may not be Doku it doesn't mean he can't be extremely dangerous and a very skilled dribbler for us.

As I said, how he translates to the PL is the million dollar question but the fact Ange wants him reinforces my belief in his talent.

I think the thing that makes Nusa so good and potentially elite is the fact he has those creative elements mentioned in the video. Whilst he can get a bit head down at times (not uncommon for an 18 year old), he also has a lot of moments where he breezes past players with his head up. His football IQ is already better than a lot of established wingers.
To be fair Bruce Forsyth had quick feet with his soft shoe shuffle… and his jazz feints were applauded 👐🏽🤷🏻‍♂️
