I was just talking to my neighbour about the quality of our game yesterday and comparing it with the utter dross just served up by these two (Everton-Villa) . We are so blessed to be able to watch City. The football we play is on a different level.

• I've had people say to me "he likes the high line so he will do well at Spurs".......morons don't realise that he likes playing AGAINST a high line, not for a team that plays a high line themselves. Even against teams that play a high line, he will be caught offside multiple times a game and miss 10 chances.

• It's not as simple as that. You also have to work out where we'll finish - if we can just pip Utd, then yes, we want a Spurs win, but if Spurs should finish above Utd and we can pip them both, then maybe we want a Utd win. Without a crystal ball, we can't tell, but my guess is we want a Spurs win, as we're unlikely to finish above them, and have a better chance of beating Utd to one of the last European places.

Hoberg slow. Van de Ven thinking he is Maldini. Absolute mugs. Might end 2-2 but that's the best they will get. Shame as we could do with United losing. That said, every win keeps Ming the Merciless in charge for longer.

• Staggering that Rashford keeps getting picked for United, he has been dreadful this season. He just runs into defenders and smacks shots into the side netting.

• Obviously a draw means 2 points to our rivals instead of 3, but come the end of the season you could look back and wish one of them had zero. The problem being that we don't know who our rivals for the last Euro spots are yet. We don't expect City to be our rivals, so we want them to beat teams like Utd. With Spurs, it's less clear. I think we can relax in the knowledge that what we want won't affect the outcome, so just enjoy the game (I'll be cheering against Utd though).

• No way Pedro Porro will get booked, he is very disciplined and would never make a rash tackle or call the ref a twat.
• Nice reminder of how well we did v Spurs at home with loads out today. They have 2 CBs back but no Son so similar team. Was a top night and result that even if they did come back at end a little…

Their inverted full backs are wonderful but it results in a hell of a lot of space down the wings. Mitoma and Adingra might not be back, finals are both around the date of our match, but either way RDZ will identify how much space teams can find behind their 'full backs'. Starting to feel we might start looking up rather than down at the chasing pack in a few weeks.
