I wouldnt let him go yet anyway. Need all the attacking options we can have right now. Reassess in the summer but he has a chance for the time being.

He thinks ange is the manager that will help him settle into this league unlike nuno and conte with there pragmatic football. Since Ange they all wanna be on this gravy train as they see success round the corner .

Can't really blame him for wanting to be part of a great (and possibly historic) team (y)

...even if he's unlikely to play much? Son, Solomon, Werner all ahead?

Id like to see him given a go in the middle behind the striker in that madders no. 10 role, rather than on the left or right , bit like the Bernardo role... might fair better , but his lack of physicality will be an issue where he plays.

Unfortunately, when he has played his decision making has been pretty bad. He has the skill set and the energy but he needs to use the ball so much better to even be considered as an option at 10.

We've been so bad for his career. He got into the Spanish senior national team just after he turned 20 years old.
Then Spurs came and signed him in the summer.

Son and Werner I agree but I haven’t seen enough from Solomon to agree he would be.
Watch the highlights of Soloman against Burnley away. He did more in that game than Bryan has done in the 2.5 years he’s been a spurs. I like Bryan would love to see him succeed here. Unfortunately even after all this time he doesn’t look physically capable of performing higher than he is now in the premier league

the lad is only human, maybe he's sick of being farmed out on loan staying in hotels and away from family only to be back at spurs a few months later, rinse and repeat.
If I was him at this stage I wouldn't leave unless it was a permanent deal and for a manager who really wants me and I think I'll be a starter. Otherwise might as well try and stay at spurs where's he's getting game time and appears to have the managers trust as a backup option.

Maybe he backs himself to prove his ability. I mean if he wants to stay he obviously has belief that he can make it into the squad at some point. Regardless what we fans might think of his ability that is the sort of attitude we need in the squad. Unless Ange has specifically said to him that he is surplus to requirements then why not let him fight for a spot. In the end of the day its also down to Ange to decide if he wants to use him or not, one would think he would make it abundantly clear if his time here was over.

I think it speaks volumes for Ange in that Bryan knows he won’t get much game time but he wants to stay cos he thinks Ange can progress him … fair play to the kid I say 👏👏

Ironic that they all think Ange is the man to bring glory in the season that Harry leaves in search for glory.

Thats a fair and valid point.

The only obstacle i see to that is that Gil is not going to be an U21 player and he's not a HG and will be taking a valuable squad place that another player could be using

Tbf he's looking gradually sharper and up for the battle with each match. Problem being he won't feature much when everyone is fit. It's a case of if, and how badly, Ange wants to move him on and bring someone else.

He is still only 22. I am not sure if he will make it but i think he has the ability and it may be that when hes 24/25 he is able to set the tempo of a game from a number 10 position similar to David Silva (who was even smaller). Will that be at Spurs? I dont know but i wouldnt mind him having a real go at trying to convert to that position and be the backup to Maddison. He has the technical ability to pull it off. We really need to be patient with some of our youngsters.
