I find it amusing how worked up people can get over something we have zero control over. If you can't handle it, log off for a bit and let it all blow over!

My uneducated feeling is that conversations are advanced enough that Dragusin wants to come here. Even if Genoa preferred Bayern's offer, if the player only wants to come to Spurs as that's where he sees himself then Genoa can't force him to go to Bayern. I think he'll come here.

This CB situ is becoming like our RB situ a few years ago when we took ages to replace Walker.

We needed another CB in summer and day 1 in Jan, it’s now nearly day 10 and we look to be losing our top target.🎯

Hope we can pivot quickly.

Todibo is better anyway.

(Too bad we’re not signing him either 🤣)

The terms had been agreed with the player and Genoa last night/this morning.
Why didn't he sign?
Can only mean he was waiting for Bayern.

Hasn’t he moved on from a massive club in Juventus due to not playing? My hope in that experience will give him some hesitancy in the move to Bayern where he will be 4th choice. I still think he picks us as it’s a better move for his career.

If he wants guaranteed playing time, he'll stay at Genoa until at least the summer. If he wants a move now then he's got European giants and domestic juggetnauts Bayern to go to for or, er us.

Already thinking about Kelly or others tbh.

I don't blame levy or anyone else involved in this deal if it doesn't go through. we've been fucked around like crazy

I've no idea why, but no we haven't. We've been extremely complacent and foolish.

Levy is a good negotiator when he holds the leverage, and a liability when doesn't.

The problem is his ego seems to make him unable to tell the difference.

Genoa named a very reasonable price weeks ago.

We tried to be too clever and took too long trying to squeeze the pips for a signing we've been desperate for at least 5 months.

Arguably for the last 4 permanent managers (and 2 interims).

Dragusin also doesn't owe us anything either.

IF he takes it it's our fault for allowing a bigger club the time and opportunity to try to sway him with better career option and/or terms.

If this was always going to happen anyway, we'd have been better off to find out last December.

But as I've said, we shouldn't be in this position anyway, as it was an essential requirement last summer.

It goes without saying that 3rd choice is more likely to play than 4th though
Depends if you play a back 3 or if you have a preference to play 1 at left centre back or 1 right centre back. He also covers fullback and they've been looking for cover there so really he's maybe more likely to cover right back there than here with Porro and Emerson.

Bayern's pulling a Liverpool.

If they get their guy. Can we at least not resort to playing the blame game.

As this will very likely come down to the player's choice. And for all we know, this was always the intention of his agent. As it looks and smells just like the Diaz saga.

From where I sit, if he ends up in Germany, that was the endgame all along and we got played.

Not Levy. Not the Don. Not Ange. Not whoever the intermediaries are... the blame for something like this would be on the player and agent. And presumably a very vengeful Bayern - as they didn't like how the Kane deal went down. So, sod off the lot of 'em.

As the timing of Bayern's bid has been to coincide with understanding the final numbers. They got them and gazzumped everything we've agree with Genoa. And presumably, if this was the plan all along, then what can you do?

Really just makes you wish we entered one of those “special relationships” when we sold Kane to Bayern, ya know?

Bayern has the prestige and the trophies, money is probably similar.

Even when I take off my Spurs glasses, I would think that Bayern isn't the best move for a 21 year old defender. Bayern have 3 of the top 11 most valuable centre backs in the world (according to Transfermarkt which isn't perfect but at least it's objective).

I honestly am past caring. Either he signs in the next 24 hours or move on. Can't be doing all this in a weeks time. We have a shot at something serious this year

My guess is he always wanted bayern and hence the noise from the agent. It was all over the Romanian news that a bayern transfer is agreed.

What makes you think a club is willing to negotiate in December when the windows isn't open? It rarely happens
