To be fair we got such great deals from Juve I wouldn't mind selling him cheap there. We also have to consider that while we will not get a lot selling abroad we can also pick up some bargains abroad. We've already got some great deals from Serie A and look close to getting another.

If we do any kind of deal, I hope it includes Soulé coming our way.

It’s where we have to get creative and use players in swaps or as part of deals but then I’m sure Don P is already on the case!

He 100% knows they are. They'd both take him tomorrow if the deal was right. Problem is the big European clubs don't want to give any money to the Premier league clubs unless they have to. They can see we have a depreciating asset taking up a squad space and so they are trying to get something for nothing knowing they have flashed their knickers to the player and he's keen.
I think this all points to him going in the summer. I imagine that's when PEH might start to get more impatient at the prospective buyers to pay up if other PL clubs are interested (I'm convinced there will be for £10-15m).

That’s certainly promising! Would certainly make sense for all parties. Not that I think PEH is a bad player he’s just not right for the system. I will honestly be amazed if he ends up at ether Juve or Atleti with an obligation. Only way I saw him going to ether of those two is if we agree to option instead of obligation or players coming the other way were involved.

Juve are looking to bring in one or two young players with potential but they are in the €5/6 mil max range. In order for them to get PEH outright or a loan with obligation they would need to sell someone significant. It’s why there’s been talk about Soulé being sold despite being statistically one of the best young player in Europe currently. They still haven’t even been able to renew Chiesa or Dusan’s contract yet which is a significant cause for concern.

Unless we soften significantly in our terms or we agree some sort of player swap I don’t see him going there. They don’t have the funds to buy a 20/25 mil player now and I’m not sure they will even have it in summer. And especially not for a player they could sign for free this time next year.

Wasn't it mentioned by someone the other day that he want to leave this month?
I don't think we'll be too greedy with our asking price but at the same time, we can't let the euro teams take the piss with their offers.

United might be an option for him. They are short of defensive midfielders..
For that matter, a few PL teams I could see being interested. He may not share their interest, but I can see the likes of Everton, Palace, Brentford, and Forest all being a potential good fit. And can afford the 25m we’d be asking for.

(edit… maybe not Everton, as they’re a little on the broke side, right?)

I think he might want to try another league and that maybe he's got a touch of 'the Eriksen's'.

That's about his level in my opinion. Won't be expected to do much on the ball and can stand behind other teams players and point for the defenders to bypass him and go long unhindered.

A lot of people talk about him being bad with the ball but I think he’s ok with the ball. He can certainly pick a pass and also has an eye for a goal.

The main issue with him in this system is that he slows everything down. I can see why we bought him while Mourinho was in charge but he really doesn’t suit the way Ange wants to play.

PEH deserves plenty of respect from our fans. Clear limitations in the Ange style of football, but a very good player in the right set up. He’s been a true professional and sweated blood wearing our shirt. He deserves to go for decent value; not to fill our coffers but to reflect the respect he deserves.
