Love VAR!!

On a serious note, it was an embarrassment, the game that is. We were lucky to get a point.

Players were all bad but will give it to Lamela for his goal and assist.

[EDIT] I re watched the game and although we could have played much better and were poor in parts, it was not all that bad as it seemed we basically set out to suppress them and hit them on the break. Feeling more positive now as we have actually got a point playing away against the Champions who have actually improved since last season.

Sanchez, Toby, and Lloris all had very good games.
Ndombele, KWP, Rose were ok.

Thought Lamela and Lucas had a few good moments (not just referencing the goals).

The rest were really poor. We just got totally dominated away from home by maybe the best team in world football, but I think we are capable of better than that.

We set up wrong, were incredibly passive throughout, and should have conceded about 6 - yet somehow managed to get a point.

Brilliant result all things considered but I don't want us to approach another game like that again, it won't work.

Also, City are fucking good.

Watched that with my arsenal supporting brother. Both had the same opinion. Sanchez, easily the best player on the pitch, not just on our side.
Watxh the game back of you need to but he was positional and tactically great

If our team was so crap we would have lost that by a few goals. Not easy to watch but we did what we had to do and that’s the reason we walk away with the same amount of points as a team who would have thrashed the opposition on another day. Brilliant point as most people, Tyler and Neville mostly, wrote us off for a reason. City are on another level. We can’t match them at that but that doesn’t mean we can’t get points that matter. There’s plenty of teams take points off us in the same manner.

Lloris 6 looked shaky

KWP 7 I thought he was okay, looked exposed but may be tactics
Toby 7 not his best game
Sanchez 8 MOTM. 1st half wasnt great but 2nd half easily a 9. Terrific
Rose 7 lots of heart, like him there

Winks 6 the odd pass didn't come off but was fine, couldn't work out if he was a positive influence
Ndombele 7 quiet I thought but was fine when he had it

Lamela 7 Not much aside from the goal
Eriksen 6 quiet but little to work with
Sissoko 6 poor on the wing didn't add enough for me but fine when moved centrally

Kane 6 same as eriksen

Winks 4 only backwards first half, tried passing foward second half but too late, rightfully hauled off as he doesnt offer anything
Eriksen 4 Real Madrid is a pipe dream, try Everton

If we were really that awful and took an away point from the strongest team in the country, then I'll settle for awful every week.

Thought KWP picked himself up, and managed Sterling well after the goal.
Sanchez had a better second half.
Lloris dodgy AF but some good saves.
Kane, no service.
Eriksen, awful.

Lloris 8 - Some good saves and rushed out a couple of times to great effect. That kicking though...

KWP 7 - The formation made him look worse than he was, but in truth he done really well overall.
Alderweireld 8 - Excellent one-on-one and made a few vital blocks.
Sanchez 6 - I could say the same about the whole back four, but the formation didn't help. Unfortunately for Sanchez it lead to bad decision making and hesitation, which led to chances for City. Don't want to be too harsh on him for today.
Rose 7 - Defended well.

Winks 5 - Again, set up to fail, but didn't do what he's supposed to be good at. He needs to be better defensively in general anyway.
Ndombele 6 - A bit better than Winks. Would like to see him look for it more.

Sissoko 5 - A bit better when he went into the middle, but that's no saying much.
Lamela 6 - Gave it away a lot and his first touch leaves a lot to be desired, but was involved in our only decent attacks.
Eriksen 5 - Bad. Cue stupid posts about him not caring.

Kane 5 - Not in the game. No service, but usually he's still good holding up the ball and winning free-kicks. Didn't do much of that.
