We would need to hear within the next 15 mins or so I think if there was any chance this could be saved...

Let's be honest though, it won't and it's too late now anyway.

Eriksen is still here so we have to keep him now and try and sign him to a new contract. Even if that means a clause in his contract that we have to accept a reasonable bid from Madrid.

I wish people would stop with this Ndembele is a replacement for Dembele nonsense. Dembele barely played last season before he got injured, even when he returned he didn't play and then got sold. He was poor by the end of the previous season, his body just wasn't up to it anymore. In the meantime Winks grew into a key player and Sissoko transformed into another key player. A lot has changed in the last year so there's no need for a Dembele replacement anymore. Ndombele will add to our midfield in a big way as will Lo Celso. We're a lot stronger in midfield now.

I'm sure sky, BBC ect will keep this going along until deadline.

Hopefully we will explore every option before we stop trying.

I wasnt expecting us to sign him, so I don't feel gutted if we have missed out.

Even when it flipped back and forth earlier, there was still constant optimism from enough people to make it still viable.
That has all gone silent now.
Looks like it’s over and down with now.
I think the loan possibility is more blind hope than reality, but it’s still nice to dream.

Ndombele, Lo Celso, Clarke & Sessegnon we’d have all taken at the start of the window, but that was based on Eriksen staying or being replaced outside of the four above. Dybala would have been the ideal fix for that. Maybe even loan with option, to allow flexibility for Eriksen situation.

Lets see what happens with Nkoudou and Wanyama.

Yes, I believe this can happen. That’s how Chelsea got around their transfer ban. Registration of Dybala would have passed to us due to his loan status, if we then convert that loan to permanent, then that’s just between us and Juve, has no bearing on his registration. It’s the registration which is bounded by the PL windows.
That sounds good now we just need to make sure we get an option to buy not an obligation to buy.
Another thing that occurs to me is if the third party image rights thing isn't allowed in this country what is the punishment for breaking that rule? Would it be financially viable to leave the image rights where they are and just take the punitive hit?

Pull yourself together people. You think you’ve got it bad, I’ve got to go home to my 2 year old and explain to her that the deal for LaLa fell through. She’s got great big eyes like she was drawn by Disney, this is not going to go well.

It's only disappointing because we were so close and fucking image rights stopped us from this, but it's still very good window.

I assume because "technically" he would still be a Juve player, so any payments would go through them. But I have no real idea TBH!
Why would Juventus agree to that though?

And if Juventus held the image rights and we loaned him, would they still hold the image rights then?

Presenting Dybala and Juve raking in on the photos we use.

Exactly this. It was always a bonus one but the key was to complete Sess and Lo Celso. Then we can just try the ambitious one until the end. I'm still happy in the fact that Eriksen is still here so for me it's simple, don't sign Dybala then don't sell Eriksen.

If it doesn't happen which looks likely now, who else is ready to go for him again in January?

I’m still hoping. If everything else was agreed, all it takes is one phone call from either us or them budging and it could be tied up quickly ?
