Came across a great stat just now

In the decade since Ronaldo took off the shirt for the final time, Manchester United’s No.7 has contributed just 14 Premier League goals.

That's Owen, Valencia, Di Maria, Depay and Sanchez. It's cursed I tell ye.

I’m not sure United have scouts nowadays. They just read the papers, see who they’re linked with and just go for one of those at the prices mentioned...

Beautiful. May the curse continue.

Leicester are determined to keep pulling their pants down for maguire. We just need to hope it’s settled before they turn their attention to Toby instead. Although I suspect they’d rather break the world record for a defender than buy the better player.

Toby won't go there, he's not gonna leave Spurs this summer that much is obvious now.

That's basically where I am with it as well. I just assumed he'd be off this summer but the longer it's gone on the more it seems like he'll end up staying, same goes for Eriksen. There just hasn't been enough rumours/gossip about either of them which suggests that either there's an incredibly covert negotiation going on somewhere or more likely there just haven't been any takers.

My understanding is that while TA might not be completely happy at us he only wants to leave for an elite club.

I am sure we would offer him as big a wage as Leicester.

As it seems none of the elite clubs have come in for him he will likely stay with us.

Juve, Atletico, Real, Utd and PSG have were all looking to bring in CB's this summer, everyone bar Utd have so I'm not buying the fact that he wasn't approached, he could have had a deal lined up for these 2 weeks for any of these teams who would pay him what he wants, he's one of the best CB's who plays in arguably the best league in the world who just reached a CL final.

As mentioned before I think he's holding out for that massive signing on fee when he leaves on a free next season.

Might well be right but at his age that is a very big risk to take. He must stay fit or his final big pay off will not happen. As an aside does anyone else think he was noticeably slowing down last season ? His great anticipation and positioning covers most of it up but to me he is noticeably slowing down.

I bet the United fans are as frustrated as we are, Maguire and Lukaku deals are both really dragging out.

If a money rich club like PSG really wanted him they would pay him a large signing on fee regardless.

Maybe, not sure what the other's excuses are though.

The bigger clubs not looking for value aren’t showing interest in TA.

The smaller clubs will need to beat our reported high wage offer to him. TA would likely see these clubs as a step down.

Everyone is just too greedy with prices. Surely if all clubs just realigned their prices and dropped them by 20/30% then they’d only all be winners as they’d be saving money.

If United sell Lukaku, surely they will be in the market for another striker?

Or are they content with Martial/Rashford/Sanchez?

The rumour is they want Dybala as part of the deal, would assume they'd have to send Lukaku and a lot of cash the other way.

Thought Juve wanted Icardi at Inter though? So they're trying to push the Lukaku deal through so that opens up them being able to get him.
