Sorry but I'm surprised people really genuinely thought we would drop the best part of 120 million on Ndombele and Lo Celso with no incomings. I've always thought it was likely we wouldn't get Lo Celso without Eriksen leaving.

This is Daniel Levy we're talking about!

You got a lot of unnecessary dislikes for this but this part of itk from Ali says that “as widely reported we are happy to move certain players out, in comings are based on that. I think Le Celso is ion hold while we sort out Eriksen's future, there is plenty going on.” Which would indicate players need to move on before others can be bought, things change itk wise don’t forget. Realistically it was always going to be that way, it is at every club in the world.

Ali does go on to say that he thinks Eriksen going must be close if the article yesterday, which mentioned wages etc, is correct for lo celso.

While I don't dismiss the possibility that we need to sell to buy Lo Celso, I did take that snippet from Ali Z as more of a nod towards incomings at positions like RB and CB (which more and more posters are getting twitchy about due to a lack of links). The 'sell to buy' positions.

To be fair we seemed to move quickly on Ndombele, Lo Celso and Sessegnon whereas we've kept our powder dry in other areas, so the ITK from the likes of Herc saying they aren't dependant on sales has to be considered. I certainly wouldn't put any money on it though!

ali z on money, i think related suggestions we dont have much money as we are bidding for saliba who would cost the same we are getting for toby: We have money but can't splash 70 m everywhere with 150 k a week wages, soon end up like Arsenal.

Hence signing youngsters like clark, saliba and the sessegnons.

I still feel the young star is someone else more left field. Without downplaying what might be a great long term target, an 18 yo CB isn’t particularly eye grabbing.

Part of me hopes it’s something spectacular like Sancho, we’re clear priced just behind Utd on some bookie sites with the next closest 4x as long. We were in for him before he went to BD and it would be some statement..!

We clearly have certain target areas in order of priority, all the ITK and papers are pointing towards the targets for the summer being:
1. CM - Ndomble
2. AM - Lo Celso (May need erisken to go the other way to Madrid)
3. CM/AM - Cellballos (need Eriksen to go the other way)
4. 2x WF - Clarke and Sessengon
5. CB - direct swap for Toby if he/when goes
6. RB - upgrade on Trippier if/when he goes

This reflects what Ali z is saying on money, we probably have budget for 2 big signings (Ndomble & Lo Celso) and the rest will be much smaller fees for younger lesser established players and then balance the books a bit with outgoings and money saved from previous non spending windows. Still find it hard to believe we do have enough for 2x £50m + signings but if we can get a decent chunk of change for Eriksen then it would make sense.

Anything else will be youngsters building our team for a serious title challenge over the next few years and also replacements for any other sales.

Transfer windows are a huge merry go round, we clearly have deadlines for Toby and Eriksen to decide what they are doing and have to balance that with pulling the trigger on incoming targets.

Ali z’s latest update is consistent with itk all summer, Ndomble was a massive statement, I’m confident we have our ducks in a row and the next few weeks will be prosperous.

The only reason GLC could be on hold while we sort out Eriksen is if the deal is dependant on CE leaving...like for like which isn’t what ITK’s have previously said.

I don't think it would be financial related but more GLC would be starting, therefore, CE needs to leave for the signing to happen
