Yep the guy is clearly a muppet as why he signed a new deal last season I have no idea.

If he’s going to put greed when offered shiny new more money contracts over his ambitions then he’s a silly billy really.

He could have then been in much better position to have gotten a move this summer and we’d have more likely been in for him, although can’t see us going in now.

Could also be that he felt he owed palace a huge debt for taking him back with open arms after he left them. Could've kicked up a fuss, refused a new contract, and ended up like Berahino

I have a feeling Palace are going to be in tears laughing at this offer.

Lol that reminds me of when they bid £40,000,001 for Suarez :ROFLMAO:

They're playing football manager and throwing all of their small budget at him just to see what happens. Zaha isn't worth what Palace want but that offer is an insult tbh.

Blatant crowd pleaser bid by arsenal just to make their fans think they're actually serious about making a big signing. No way will they cough up what Palace want.

It'll be their "we tried" moment.

We’re the experts in that field. Lovely to be able to see it happening elsewhere now

Was just about to report this as well. Even by their standards they are taking the piss. Levy should jump in with a counter offer to fuck them up

I reckon they'd need to sell Auba to get that over the line. And I doubt Palace would sell for less than 60/70m

Overall, that's fine by me

The only player they’ve currently got worth at least 40mill is Laca, so this is a big deal for them. Bless ‘em.

Obvious public bid to unsettle the player but christ, that might be an even worse offer than we put in for Zaha a while back, considering inflation of the market and him signing a new deal last season ?

His brother I think saying it's a dream for Zaha to play for Arsenal, sounds like they're trying to do what they can to push through for the move on their end. Hopefully Palace won't in any bit cave in and will still demand a very high fee.

Players should make smart career choices, rather than follow their dreams...

Palace will absolutely rinse Arsenal for Zaha. He can try and force a move as much as he likes, but he’s got a long contract with them and they’ve just cashed in massively in WB. This could be comical

Yeah I'd very much like to think so. With that long contract and like you say already cashing in on one of their big players, hopefully it will all just make it too difficult.

Makes it even more strange that Zaha did sign that contract last season, I mean if the move it prevents is to Arsenal I'm happy but still can't help but to think what an idiot.

The brother should have thought about that before agreeing the last two bumper contracts with Palace. What a beg!

Can't see Palace selling him on the cheap at all.

Arsenal might as well nip this in the bud right away before their fans get over excited. The deal at the absolute least will be £60m-£70m and there is no way on earth they can afford that.

Give up Arsenal, you're skint.

Totally. This is going to be great. They either:
1) get totally rinsed for a player I think is good, but not great, and unlikely to really improve; or
2) fail

Either is fine
