With Eriksen having only one year left on his contract, we aren't in a position to force Madrid to give us a player like Asensio in part exchange unfortunately.

Yep. Our only hope was Madrid cooling their interest.

I would hope if we are interested in Bale though if the financials are right that we can use that to our advantage ( seeing as Bale is actually a player they are trying to offload).

Don't do it to yourselves chaps. There is absolutely zero chance we start next season with Lo Celso and Asencio.
We might pinch Gomez from West Ham and keep Eriksen for his last season but I can't see us offering enough cash for LoC or tempting anyone away from Madrid in part exchange.
Interestingly, Still no ITK on a RB, or more importantly, an outgoing RB first! I hope this is somewhere on the priority list.
Enjoying the amount of ITK that we have coming in atm though. At least this Summer does have potential.

Not with that attitude!

I'd of already triggered the release clause and paid £51m for AWB!!!! but that's why I only teach Year 4 maths in a small primary school and don't make multibillion£ decisions.

To realistically challenge Pool and City any time soon, I do believe we are going to have to drop some serious cash though. Ndombele is a (very very good) replacement tbf and the youngsters will take some time to get up to Top4 levels. LoC (or similar) and a good RB are definitely needed.
Make it happen, dust of the cheque book. That's my more positive attitude ;-)

N’Dombele albeit a great signing is only 1 of the 4 gaping holes in our squad. Adding Clarke and Sessegnon x 2 is good and all but 2 of them are in effect kids and the other R Sessegnon still needs a lot of development before he’s going to push for a starting spot. 4 potential new signings but only one 1st team squad hole filled.

With all 3 of our RB’s available it shows that none of them are deemed to be good enough. We desperately need a quality RB, another attacking central midfielder as we’re still way too predictable with our current set and we need a match winner.

Why do you care about ITK on a RB if you’re totally dismissing the ITK we’ve had about Eriksen, Lo Celso etc?

Don't really understand links to Asensio (stats-wise and financials-wise) but then, haven't watched him play very much at all.

For people who have this perception that Asensio will improve us watch him for a full season first.
My friend is a madrid fan and says that he's inconsistent

Tbh I can’t think of anybodies opinion I’d rather hear less than a Real Madrid fan, their expectations are astronomical

:) true. But I thought the ITK said we ‘might’ go back in for Lo Celso. And it takes a lot of work to move from interest in Asencio to him wearing lily white next season.
And then, as I said, both! Is a real dream scenario.
Would love it all to come off of course.

Real Madrid lost 12 league games this season, and finished third, an appalling season by their standards.

I wouldn’t take individual performances this season of being indicative of much

“Inconsistent” you say? Well, damn! Sign him up! That’s the shizzle that makes Spurs sing!
