WhatsApp is all encrypted so I don't think there's much of that. There was a big thing about WhatsApp refusing to give over chat history about terror suspects a while ago.

About Betfair, it is absolutely true that the whole betting market basically copies them now. If you go on the exchange and have enough on a horse that it shortens significantly then every bookie will cut their price.

However, that's the exchange and it would be the sports book which price up transfer markets etc. They have no more clout than any other bookie, although it's certainly true that they'll likely have better sources than the average guy
Whatsapp is now owned by Facebook, so all the data is available to the highest bidder

You could have said the same for David Brooks this time last year and now we all wish we'd paid the £12m or so Bournemouth paid, amid suggestions from some that we should be bidding £30 or 40m.

Exactly the player I'd compare him to, only this time we're hopefully ahead of the game.

If Clarke is worth 14m, can Edwards step up this season to be another 14m silky player we have in our ranks?

For those who have watched Clarke, is he more of a Grealish or Brooks type of player?

Neither really, he’s mainly been used as a wide player.

Considering we are allegedly buying a potential star of the future and Spurs have not brought a player in 18 months I find it strange how quiet the press are on chasing down this news item? In a relatively quiet period in transfer activity I would have expected more noise!

It’s not a world class player, or even a Premier League player, and bizarrely it’s not a huge amount to pay (£14m! That IS a huge amount).

Therefore it’s not really newsworthy. Much better (read “more clicks”) to keep reporting on the Pogba situation, Bale staying/leaving, or Neymar’s availability.

Just to add further fuel to the fire:

Word amongst Leeds fans on twitter is that they are signing Heldar Costa, a winger from Wolves. Seems their replacement is almost done

So, does a £14m fee suggest that he won't be loaned back to Leeds? (..too high a fee?)

No need to loan him back he is exactly what we have needed the last few seasons coming of the bench a young hungry quick attacker who can scare defenders and will play a big part of we have the injury luck from last season

But no-one else is buying, so we're not on the media's radar just yet.

Isn't that exactly what Lucas is? (and he played that part pretty successfully).

Yes, but it’s also what Lamela should be.

Given Lamela’s limited contribution over the past few seasons, replacing him with a young, cheap, home-grown option is a no brainer, really.

No Lucas isn’t a young hungry prospect ! You need more than 1 or 2 players who can run at people in your squad thats been our problem not enough depth he also meets the home grown status
