I'd be VERY surprised if we got anywhere near the 75-100 million being throwned around in this thread.

He has 1 year left on his deal and not as in demand as say Sanchez, RVP or Hazard was/is. I would love us to get those amounts, but can't see us getting more than 30-40 max.

I'd be very curious why so many think anyone will pay that much for Eriksen when they can get him for free in a year? Help me understand.
I 100% agree with this in principle, especially given the contract situation. The only thing that’s been different since Sanchez, RVP, etc. is that the transfer market these last two windows has been hyper inflated. Add that with Levy’s usual gouging and it should be above the norm. With the insane prices going around these days, I would be shocked if Levy isn’t trying to take advantage.

Hazard is being touted for 80 millions to Madrid. He is amongst the most talented players in the world, will sell tons of shirts and very wanted by the top teams.

With Eriksen it feels like their is no one that interested, but at same time the clubs don't mind picking him up as the buying club hold all the cards.

I would be very happy being wrong obviously.

He’s top 5 in the world in his position. Scoted most goals from outside the box and has most assists in PL since he joined Spurs in 2013.

That’s 80m in today’s market.

If I've learned anything from reading these transfer forums over the past few years it's that 'kicking up a fuss' immediately detracts 25% from a player's market value.

Keep up, Trix.

I thought it meant you ended up at stoke then getting released for drink driving

He can sign a contract with Real Madrid in 6 months and go for free, and get huge signing fee. He’s not worth 80 million with less than 12 months on his contact

A lot of people seems to think Eriksen has had a bad season. Let's not forget how bad we looked the few games Eriksen was missing or started on the bench. He makes the team tick and has a very special understanding with Kane. Also always work hard, almost always runs the most meters per game.

Totally agree. He gets us playing and contributes a lot in terms of goals and assists - e.g. 26 in the Premier and Champions League this season.

Just a reminder that Kroos had one year on his contract and Real got him for 20m or so .. even in todays market..even with Levy, I'd be astonished if we got 80m for Eriksen

My heart is sinking a little. I knew it was coming: poor form, lack of any contract signing, a slight shift in attitude, but that doesn't make the reality any less saddening. He was one of the brightest prospects in Europe when we signed him, at a bargain rate too, and a Spurs player through and through. He was the player I had been signing on Fifa the previous couple of years thinking the idea of him in a Spurs shirt was utter fantasy. He grew to be the absolute heart of the team; its lifeblood and most of the time its only true creative spark. Classy, tireless, deceptively quick and strong, ingenious at times, and, um, terrible at corners.

I mean I do think we will be fine, we suffered a lot from his lack of form this season and being able to replace him will probably see us better off than we were recently. I also do believe if we manage to sign Lo Celso there will probably be another addition in a similar area, and we will all be excited and hopeful for the years to come. But while I feel my memory of Christian is slightly tainted by his failure to keep up his form even while his eyes were on Madrid, unlike Modric, he still gave us six years and was a vital part of our ascension to where we are now, its just a shame we didn't manage to win a trophy with him. So thank you for everything, Christian; I cannot deny you your dreams.

Levy will get as much as he can especially for Eriksen. He won't sell for 30-40m.

And risk having an unmotivated player that goes for nothing in a year? It's of course possible.

The last few years Levy have refused to sell several of our unwanted players and rather taken the hit due to no one meeting his price. It's absolutely possible he keep that stance, especially for a player we want to sign a contract extension.

My heart was in pieces when Bale left, dispite the five signings; because he was peaking, and constantly influencing games with goals etc. Eriksen has been off the boil for the whole season in general. Yes he has contributed etc, but has not been the same player.

Wish him well if he goes. If he stays, ‘F’ng step up!’. Those are my views.

Completely agree with you. He's definitely not in the Bale, Hazard, Modric class of player. Madrid will probably find it too alluring not to sign him considering he's only got 12 months left on his contract, but Eriksen's interview sounded to me more like a plea to Madrid to sign him, rather than their being concrete plans for it to happen.

My take on it, Eriksen is very keen to go to Madrid, but it's not a certainty Madrid want him, and if Madrid don't come in for him, think he will stay.

Agree 100%. He hasn't been good enough or talismanic enough to where I'd be overly upset if he goes. He's a nice guy and good player (especially when he really wants to be), but it's not close to when Bale left. We'll get a great transfer fee for him and there are players out there that can replace him.

At £60m we'd bite someone's hand off considering there's only a year left on his contract. That then goes straight to Betis for Lo Celso or topped up with £10m more for Ndombele. As good as he can be, it's time to move on and refresh the team with younger players.

Agree and believe he will struggle at RM if he goes there. I do think though he may want to leave because he is under no pressure at Spurs and has played regardless of form. Players need to be under pressure to perform and step up. Maybe he thinks he can be better elsewhere with more competition because he is forced to be. I do not feel like I did when Modric or Bale left.

The big worry is that Eriksen is second choice for Real behind Pogba, and will probably wait late to try and get him if Pogba fails. We cannot be waiting for this, we have to do our business now. Makes it clearer to me that Lo Celso is his replacement, and we need to sign him up already. We also can't wait for funds from selling player to get the likes of Ndombele. We did that last season and couldn't sell anyone.

Does anyone think the Isco situation right now might mean a swap deal with Eriksen?

I really don't get why so many people don't correlate Eriksen's drop in form with the long period of time we had to roll out an unfit Dier and the discombobulated remains of Wanyama to try and piece together some semblance of a midfield while Eriksen was our there doing DM duties instead of where he is best suited... Yeah he wasn't great vs Liverpool when we finally had a midfield back but neither was any of our attackers.

I get Eriksen's head may have turned or whatever but the man put in the miles every time he was on the pitch. Nothing but love for him.

They are just about to get Hazard for £100m. Levy will be pointing at that.

He can point as much as he likes. I don't see Madrid being that desperate to get him this summer. They can get Hazard now and have Eriksen for nothing in 12 months.
