Really poor from us tonight. I know it’s been a long season, some players were half fit, etc. However the game was there for the taking all night and we just couldn’t muster the character to go and win it. Really disappointing. On the other hand, well down to he lads for making this final, it was an emotional rollercoaster getting there

If you can't play at a tempo after a 3 week break what chance do you have? They played benfica in a match we played stupid mind games. Is kane fit? Will he play? Did he play? In my opinion we should have went all in as we had nothing to lose anyway

I'm really surprised so many feel that we "dominated" this match and were "the better team". I mean really? The only reason we had more possession is because Liverpool let us have it. They didn't need to score and probably knew we would struggle to create chances from open play against a packed defence.
We could have done so much more in this match. I'm proud we got to the final and the we way we did it. But I can't say I'm proud of how we executed this match.

End of an era
Thank you for the memories in past 2 months and past 4 years.
A little tragic levy, poch and players will have nothing to show for it.
Unfortunately our current senior management wont change. Not sure we will get another night like this again. Money has ruined the beautiful game

Fed up of getting so close and not being able to push it over the line, time and time again. Need to invest now, Poch deserves that at least, but he should never have started Kane tonight, he is always way off when he comes back and today was no different. Missed first half so missed penalty but from the sounds of it we did a lot of plodding there too.
Proper gutted.
