How would we be able to offer both he and Sessegnon playing time?
I wouldn't be surprised if both are cheap enough you buy both, give them a good go at the team, and loan one in January of it's not quite working out. Or you plan over the course of the season to migrate Sess back slowly to LWB/LB. They play different sides and would both be bench/depth signings. Clarke just broke through at Leeds and is definitely a longer term project (I think somewhat akin to how City are very slowly integrating Foden).

Given how much you’ve been frustrated by our lack of depth this season, I’m surprised to see you flagging this as a potential issue.

Way I see it, Son, Dele and Lucas will all be here next season. We don’t know about Eriksen but it’s likely he’ll be off, while Lamelas injury record is more than well known. There is more than enough room for two prodigiously talented 18 year old HG players.

Would be more than satisfied with this next season:

Kane
(Llorente)
Son Dele Lucas
(Sessegnon Grealish Lamela Clarke)
That’s 9 players for 4 positions, leaving 16 slots for the remaining 7, 13 of which could be non HG too, and with a good mix of experience and youth, players who won’t expect maximum playing time and versatility too (Lamela across AM and up front, Dele and Grealish at CM, Sessegnon at LB, Lucas and Son either flank and up front).

That leaves us with a lot of flexibility to address CM as appropriate.
I'm not sure Eriksen & Lamela potentially out with Sessegnon, Grealish and Clarke coming to fill in leaves me with a warm fuzzy feeling.

Frustrated at depth yes, but replacing Lamela with a player who can stay healthy solves most of that. Our depth at AM is fantastic when Lamela is healthy, our depth at CM is hot garbage.

SPURS REVIVE CLARKE INTEREST
Tottenham have renewed their interest in Leeds teenager Jack Clarke, Sky Sports News understands.
Spurs have been monitoring the winger this season and Sky Sports News reported their initial interest in January.
Clarke has continued to make an impact under Marcelo Bielsa – one of Mauricio Pochettino’s previous mentors – as Leeds missed out on promotion via the Championship play-offs.
Clarke, who has home-grown player status, made 22 league appearances, scoring twice and making two assists at just 18-years-old.
Spurs would prefer to sign players under the age of 23 this summer as manager Mauricio Pochettino looks to inject youth into his squad, with Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon also on their radar.

Moussa Sissoko wants Nicolas Pepe, the club is after Jack Clarke. How are we going to keep our most pivotal player with signings like this?

Renewned our interest... I just love this transfer bullshieet bingo. Guess we have been weighing up our options, after monitoring the situation and preparing to make a bid and then ready to present an offer after keeping close tabs on him while renewning our interest

These are the types of signings we ought to be making, not instead of big names, but as well as. That said, I really don't see Leeds selling him for £10m, regardless of their financial situation. I'd be surprised if we'd get him for less than £17-18m.

He's played only 808 minutes and had health issues which kept him out of the team. Other Championship first team starters that broke through this year with 2k+ minutes are going for 15-25. I doubt he goes that high unless there are a ton of add ons.

If we do sign the kid, I'm sure our homework on him will have included Poch giving Bielsa a ring and getting his impression. Which would make me trust the decision to go for him more than any other young prospect.

A Leeds mate of mine says he's the real deal. Talented as fuck and they're prepared to loose him during the summer

JJ throwing the eyes emoji on this makes it definitely seems goer. Like everything else, doubt anything happens until post final. Also hope this isn't the only damn thing in the pipeline 'real deal' or not.

He's a tall lad, isn't he. Could be quite a powerhouse if he maintains that pace.
