According to a few reports Jadon Sancho was all set to sign for Utd a couple of months ago but pulled out becuase of how much of a mess they are. Players do turn them down.

If it's true that our offer was better than Juventus financially I think we'll have a good chance of getting him. I'm not fully convinced that he's a priority for either Manchester club or PSG to be honest.

Seeing the way Pogba's time at Utd has panned out should give him pause for thought as well. Compare it to Sissoko's last season and he should be desperate to sign for us. Bring on the rainbows.

Bit worrying Europe’s elite are plumping for different options. Wonder where n’d is on their lists. I haven’t seen him play but very mixed reports - is he worth it. Honest question

I've watched Ndombele several times over the past 2 seasons and he would be a massive coup for us imo.

He will not come in and instantly be the best midfielder in the land but at 22 years old, he has all of the raw attributes to become an elite midfielder. Remember what Poch said about wishing he had Dembele at a younger age? This is his chance.

Ndombele isn't a DM like Dier, Wanyama etc, he is much more of a B2B CM, although he has shown that he can work very well in tandem with other CMs, so I could see him forming good understandings with Winks, Sissoko, Dier etc.

He is strong, mobile and excellent technically with very quick feet. He presses well and is a decent tackler, reads the game pretty well too. His passing is crisp and he has a decent range but what's really fantastic about his passing is that he is always looking to instigate high tempo passing moves and 1-2s. He is also very good at playing incisive passes through the lines, allowing his team to transition very quickly to break teams down and cut them open. He is excellent at keeping the ball under pressure too and often turns out of that pressure allowing his team to transition.

For me, he needs to work on his decision making (which is normal for young midfielders) and his focus. I get the feeling sometimes he relaxes a bit too much and starts coasting where as in the Premier League he will need to retain 100% focus and intensity at all times.

If we could sign him, I will be truly excited as to what he could become with Poch coaching him. He is the type of player who has all of the talent to literally become whatever he wants to become in CM, if his attitude is right.

Maybe it’s because we’ve already agreed to a deal with both he and Lyon, but as we are still in the midst of CL and have said we won’t be signing anyone until after we’ve asked them to keep it quiet.

Or maybe not.

Plus Lyon may want to bring someone in before going public maybe.

I am really liking how our rivals are starting to sign what many would consider the ‘Plan B’s’ in our transfer list. Makes me think they have realised they can’t get their Plan A’s because they’re going to Spurs.

Man Utd getting James as they can’t get Sessegnon.

PSG getting Herrera and Allan as they can’t get N’dombele

Optimistic thinking? Or is this the new reality? ?

So I’m not being optimistic. Good to know. ?

Might be an unpopular opinion but I do think that they should do everything they can to keep Pogba if they want to progress ngl

I personally think Pogba is one of those vastly overrated players like Benzema and Griezmann. Onions and all that.......

Or maybe it's because Poch is spending all his time negotiating with the teams he is going to leave us for while Levy spends his days delivering duffle bags of money to Lewis's yacht on the Thames. :watching:

James is a winger, more so than Sess, imo. Excellent player, wish we'd gone in for him. Especially at that price.

He does tend to coast a bit at times but I think Poch could turn him into a monster. When Sissoko arrived he had the same criticism from Newcastle fans and to start off he didn't seem to put enough effort in. However, after a torrid start I'm pretty sure Poch told him to get properly fit and use his physique because that was his greatest attribute and the results are there for all to see. If Poch could do the same with Ndombele and get him to his full physical potential (using Sissoko as a role model) I think the coasting would disappear. Would be a massive signing if we could pull it off.

This should never be a reason. I understand players in our squad we would not entertain such discussions but when it comes to improving the team... Time waits for no man. Other suitors won't join a queue..

Incidently I remember the phrase "window just opened stop bitching and moaning... There's 6weeks left in the window stop being bedwetters.... Yup and then we made history:LOL:.

He also has a rocket of a shot (but looks like he doesn't use it enough, much like Dembele).

Sorry, this one didn't go in but just imagine that it did
