“The negotiation with the Tottenham directors has been the hardest I have ever had to undergo in these 25 years.”

That was peak austerity Levy, not new era Levy, he says optimistically...

My no1 signing this summer and 1 of 4 id like to see in our 1st 11 to challenge for the title.
N dombele
Wan bissaka
Grealish
Bale ( or another goal contributer or assister who is first 11 quality eg zaha)

----------------Hugo---------------
-----------Toby-----Jan-----------
--Wan------------------------Rose
-------Sissoko--Ndombele----
-----------------Alli------------------
-----Bale------Kane------Son----

Thats the dream. Shoot on site lads! I think eriksen may go but hope to keep toby. Eriksen should fetch 60m with a year left and there is a few more players who we will/could sell including trippier, wanyama, lamela, janssen, llorente. So roughly 120m recouped.

Il keep dreaming
That team is the dream!!!! Give us all the silverware!!!

Not knocking his ability, but it does seem to look like he never truly has 100% control of the ball.

Again, not saying that is necessarily a bad thing as it’s obviously just his style. Similar to Dembele I guess.

Made a comparison between a few linked players and then two of our favourites. Definitely looks like Lo Celso could do a job deeper in midfield and probably wouldnt be an Eriksen replacement. Don't have time to analyse but thought id pop this in here

EXCLUSIVE - Mercato - OL: A surprise club holds the rope for Ndombele!

Actively courted by Juventus Turin and PSG, Tanguy Ndombele is also tracked by the English club Tottenham. The Spurs would even be in pole position!

As revealed by the 10sport.com on May 6 , a match between PSG and Juventus Turinwas organized for Tanguy Ndombele . The OL midfielder must now position himself, but that was without counting on the offensive backed by a surprise guest: Tottenham !

Tottenham in front, Paris just behind

According to our information, the motivation of Tottenham is at its peak to get his hands on Tanguy Ndombele . A strong interest that would position the Spurs in pole position in this file. The PSGis not far away, but now seems behind Tottenham. Now it's up to the player to decide for his future destination. And then to the OL to agree with the choice he will choose to complete the transaction. Impossible to consider a deal to less than 60 million euros. This could even rise sharply with the increased competition for the new French international ...

Agree with this. He looks like a marginally more technical Sissoko imo. I don’t really agree with the Dembele comparisons. His passing seems nothing more than functional as well.

I’m sure our scouts have done more in depth analysis than a couple of YouTube vids though so i’ll have to trust them on this.

I'll bite.

Last season, Liverpool didn't secure a top-4 spot in the PL until the final week, and then lost in the CL final. They added a couple of players, and then challenged for the PL title.

This year, we didn't secure a top-4 spot in the PL until the final week, and will win the CL final. :sneaky: With an addition of Ndombele and 1 or 2 others (and better luck with injuries) we will challenge for the PL title next year. (And this is most likely what Poch wants to sit down with Levy to plan out after June 1: how are Spurs going to challenge for the PL title).
Poch thinks in something like 5 year spells and plans accordingly.

He’s not thinking of “challenging,” he planning on retaining

Who cares? With Ndombele I take the attitude that any source that has positive news is reliable and any source that doesn't is full of shit.

(On a serious note, I'm not sure. They've been very positive about our chances of signing him.)

Cheers.

It would be so nice to get a key signing in early
