If you'd told me at the start of the season we'd finish top 4, get to a cup semi and get to the Champions League final with half our squad injured for weeks of the season, I'd have bitten your hand off.
Back to work for the Champions League final and then fingers crossed for a few interesting ins during the summer and some quality rest for our squad.

Made it once again to the CL. Poch achieved the regular top four we needed. New stadium. Bonus CL final. Now all we need is to tie up contracts, sign some players who will improve and boost the squad. Then go beat Liverpool and get that all important first trophy ... completing the full set of European trophies. The mount another title challenge

Anybody crying about not finishing 3rd instead of 4th needs some perspective, I'd have sacrificed 3rd every fucking day of the week, the teams been running on empty and it's so so clear they held their energy off in the league to throw everything into those games with City and Ajax.
When Chelsea won the Champions League, I think they came 6th, do you think any of their fans honestly gave a fucking shit? They ended up signing Hazard off the back of it

I'm not going to bloody moan, hugely relieved that we've scraped 4th and massively got away with it this season. Good enough that we're where we want to be but also bad enough that it hopefully acts as a wake up call in that a repeat of the last two windows cannot be acceptable.

I really don't see very many (any?) moaning in this thread. I think everyone is both simultaneously very happy with a combination of our league position and our progress in the CL (with the potential to be deliriously, most-happy-you've-ever-been-in-your-life happy still on the cards if the final goes the right way), but also wants to acknowledge that we are going to have to have a much better summer this year than we did last year if we want to see things keep moving in the right direction.
