Son....described him on here a few times as a "headless chicken" and a "busy fool" when he first arrived.
He still goes on the odd mysterious trips into the opponents half but we owe him so much for his performances this season, particularly in Harry Kane's absence.
I was wrong.....and very pleased to be able to say so.

I am usually right as in calling Njie Nkoudou Carrroll and Pritchard being not good enough early doors despite receiving numerous neg reps from people here

I am however wrong about Eric Dier

Called him Eric Dire after watching his early performances at CB and esp at RB

His conversion to DM however have me holding up my hands and i am wrong about him

Now i am one of his biggest fans

I threw a strop and walked out of the room when Vertonghen hit the bar and his shot got cleared off the line. Couldn't watch us get so near but miss out again. Was boiling the kettle when it all went berserk on the TV. Muppet!

I thought we'd finish 5th in the EPL and would never get past Man City in CL. Now i believe in positive thinking!

After the Liverpool game I thought we would finish 3rd and Arsenal 4th. I should have been right but man I fucked that one up.

Great thread btw !!

Most of us were probably wrong at half time in Amsterdam. I bet 99% of us thought the adventure was over.

I thought harry kane had no chance at this level
I thought sissoko was just playing to give me something to chuckle at until this season
I thought trippier would be fine taking over from Walker
I thought I knew what I was talking about (n)

Said we'd get through to the final b4 the Ajax 2nd leg. Called for belief from our fans.

At half time in that game I said I was ashamed and like we didn't want to win. I don't take that back.

The last thing I wrote is if nothing else, play for the badge.

And each and every player gave everything for it.

Still can't believe it. Champions League final!! And I think we'll win it. Though they beat us Anfield but they'll know we're one of 2 teams to outplay them there this season, especially 2nd half and deserved to get 3 points.

So long as we play for the badge, the fans who travel to Madrid both with and without tickets, those who fill the Lane, those crammed in pubs, those watching round the TV with spurs family and friends....that's all I ask. And if we do that we will win it.

I'll start.

As my season ticket cohort know I've never believed in Moura. I've wanted too. But I always held him in some disdain.

Hands up. I got it completely wrong.

Wonderful hat-trick on the biggest of stages. Legend!
Incredible hat-trick but his big flaw has always been consistency and doing it 3 games out of 4.

He’s currently a 1 or 2 out of 4 kind of player who when he’s on he’s very good but he was also v quiet in the home leg and hasn’t exactly set the world on fire in Kane’s absence.

I have so many ‘completely wrongs’
# Dier - Been a huge advocate of Eric and how he brings more to the team than just being a good player. Still believe we’re more tactically fluid with him in the team but he has been so poor this season when he’s come back.

I made the mistake of writing off Danny Rose, quite a few years back now...when Poch gave him a new contract soon after joining us I thought he was mental.
That turnaround in a player is not something I've seen very often, but that turnaround is what hammered home the point to me that I don't really have much of a clue, I'm not a scout, or a coach, or a manager, Im just a fan....a largely clueless fan.

He's done it again with Sissoko, there's nothing wrong with saying he was pretty rubbish for us in his first two seasons, but the amount of bile that was spat in his direction, and the 'he'll never be good enough for us/get out of my club' nonsense has left many with egg on their faces.
Im pleased with myself that I never joined in, looking stupid aint much fun.

Oh, you mean like vs Burnley and Southampton do you? Please tell, which goals Trippier cost us in the recent run in...
He almost costs us the semis with 2 mistakes for the 2 goals. And just to give a sample - he lost us the game against Chelsea with his own goal. If we do this exercise over the entire season, believe me, the list wont be on just one page. This season he has been a pony and often rescued & babysit by Sissoko and Toby.
