This isn't a race....it's more like a tug of war at the moment .... doesn't anybody want to finish third and fourth ??(n)

oo

You see them winning at Burnley where City squeaked a 1-0 and we lost 2-1? I wouldn’t put a penny on them winning there.
Agreed. Very very tough place to go. Particularly for a very shaky arsenal on the back of ridiculously poor away form.

Cardiff kick off against Palace before the Brighton game. So if Cardiff fail to win, Brighton are effectively safe.

I see Arsenal winning their last two games, and being on 72 points.

Why do you & so many others have such belief that Arseanal will beat Burnley?

Not having a pop, I just don't see them as being man enough to get anything from that game. Burnley are a bloody tough nut to crack, even for the might of Man City. Arseanal are terrible away, they've lost their best player to injury & looked all over the place today.

They're gutless & Burnley will make them cry.

With Sissoko and Winks likely back next weekend, I’m feeling more confident against Bournemouth. Our midfield is currently our weakest dept.

Just hope we don’t incur any more injuries.
I will believe it when I see Sissoko and Winks on the pitch ( playing, not in the warm up as they can be dangerous....)

Remember when Poch *YESTERDAY* made the incredibly ill-advised comment that the West Ham result completely reversed the team's spirit?

Well I *hope* he now believes that today's results from our rivals reversed them again. The results could not have been better for Spurs. No guarantees, but a win at Bournemouth and we've locked up third. Even two draws guarantees us at least 4th.

I think Bournemouth will take the game to us, which could work in our favour.

Eriksen, Son, Moura and Alli on the counter could tear them apart.

Yes they will come out and play.... Put on a show in front of their fans which should totally suit us and in particular a fresh Son.

Fully expect us to win that.

Well, at least we can't complain about bad luck...for the last two weeks all of our erstwhile rivals for 3/4 place have been doing everything they can to assure they don't make any ground on us, even when we stumble.

Only if we defend properly, which isn’t a given based on our performances this season.

Am I miss understanding you mate because the way I read it is we have 70 Chelsea 68 ars 66 mun 65, if we win vs bmouth that would take us to 73, that would guarantee top 4, but it wouldn’t ‘lock up’ 3rd as if Chelsea win both their games and we win one and lost the other we’d come 4th which if arsenal win the europa would knock us out of the CL spots so we really need to finish 3rd. A win and a draw is needed to lock it up.

No it wouldn't. England gets five CL spots if one of Arsenal and Chelsea win EL and finish outside top 4.

I know we've all got a nervous disposition about this stuff through years of Spurs supporting. But really, if we can't get 1 win from Bournemouth away and Everton at home after losing 12 (yep, 12) games this season, then well, quite frankly, we don't deserve CL next year. We'd have been plenty happy with this position at the start of the season.
