You can't post anything sentimental about spurs without some moron trying to put a dampener on us.

After going thru to the semis my cousin (gooner) started with the "12 man team win again, they'll be making a dvd of this one!"

It's funny and sad for them because it could be their reality very soon. Scraping the barrel for little victories.

I had a similar thing from a Liverpool fan after Wednesday. Very strange how bitter people are.

Unpopular opinion:

The reason both Liverpool and Man City have this much points is because the rest of the league bar maybe Wolves has been very bad. We’re third and have lost 11games, Fulham and Huddersfield have been shockingly bad. Chelsea, Arsenal and United have been shit

I think you’re right, but City are a very very good side. They should dominate for years to come. Liverpool are a good side too, but they’ve been so lucky with injuries and the amount of pens they’ve had.

The standard of the rest has been pretty poor. Below the big six and wolves there’s been no real form on display.

Why does everyone who mentions we've lost 11 games ignore that we've won 22 with only 1 draw all season? You're better off winning more and lose a few than get lots of draws.

I dunno, cause people like to focus on negatives?

Good thing losses aren't counted towards position in the league table, pretty sure the amount of points you have is kinda the indicator where you deserve to finish, not sure.

This really does begin to smell like it's our year. I mean too many times things have gone our way regarding results in crucial moments. Although winning the CL is still firmly rooted in fantasy land, despite me suggesting the possibility after the first leg of Borussia, I am beginning to believe

I had ppl (as I'm sure many others did) from other clubs and countries text me to say how incredible a game it was. If any game deserves DVD status it's that one. Secondly, I hate this 'only trophies matter' attitude that some football fans have
DVD? Fuck off. I’m all about the 4K

When our competing for the league title came to an end after the worst run of results we've had for years, many, including sections of our own supporters, said we'd blown it & good old 'legends' THFC were not even going to finish in a CL position. Yet, there we are still in 3rd.

After losing against Inter Milan & Barcelona, drawing against PSV, and then being something like 12 minutes from being knocked out of the CL in the group stage until Kane equalised against PSV (and got the winner in injury time), but still not having a chance because we had to play Inter again & travel to Barcelona.

But what happened? We did Inter & then went and drew against Barca in their manor. Thus doing the impossible and qualifying from a group we were pretty much dead in.

Then drawn against the (at the time) run away Bundesliga leaders, and written off immediately. Only to absolutely smash the crap out of them.

Then drawn against the competition favourites, one of the best & most expensively assembled squads in the world, who play some of the most scintillating football on the planet, and written off immediately. Narrowly beat them in our own yard, but supposed to take a beating at theirs. What happened again? Oh yeah, we didn't follow the script & we won the fucking fixture.

You suggested the possibility after the first leg against Dortmund, I said it as soon as we got the result in Barcelona. Something absolutely seems to be guiding us towards a story that will make Leicester's league win look like a copy of Peter & Jane in comparison.

City have a game in hand, if they beat Utd it's over already imo
I know the media are pushing the title race (it is quite exciting) but I have noticed in recent weeks that every time Liverpool win their extra game, it's reported as though they're in the driving seat.

I guess it's the old "better to have the points on the board at this stage of the season", but it's quite amusing watching them go mental every time they score despite the fact that they must know that it's out of their hands.

It's the truth. Just by looking at the goal difference from Utd and down, it's the same average to bad all the way.

The media also wrote us off for a CL spot after losing yesterday against City.
.
There's a few twist and turns yet as today has proved.

That's what worries me....we seem to have a 'relatively" easy run in....don't like tempting fate though.....

Controversial opinion: there shouldn't really be football on Easter any more than there is on Christmas Day. It's one of the few days we still have left at least somewhat reserved for family and celebration with them. And apart from anything else puts a lot of people in awkward positions of missing the game or annoying people at home.
That being said, I'll take it if it promises our direct rivals losing every year :D
