I haven't seen much (or any) mention of it, and to be honest it passed me by as well, but a couple of games ago we secured our 10th consecutive top 6 finish in the league.

In the grand scheme of things and also taking into consideration our history, this is a fantastic achievement. I think our best run in the league was in the 60s when we managed 6 consecutive seasons in the top 6.

I know we're aiming for bigger and better things these days, but traditionally we've been a bit patchy in the league over the decades. So it's great to enter this new era with the club, with a great stadium and a proven pedigree as being one of the best clubs in the league, in English football.

Especially, if you grew up supporting Spurs in the 90s!!

Even if Brighton get relegated?

Yeah. As far as I'm aware, runners up in cup competitions don't get European places.

Is that what you're talking about, or have I missed the point? :cautious:

Edit - sorry, misread your initial post. Yeah, I think Brighton would be in the EL even if they're relegated if they won the cup. If they lose the cup, then it goes to 7th place in the league

I was taking the piss, Brighton are not a consideration. Watford are in the final.

Ole looks a bit broken, doesn’t he

So typical that we played united when they went through the patch of good form, we’d smash them now

Well that win was one of the reasons why they stopped pursuing Poch and gave Ole a contract so silver lining.

Why did the twats announce Ole’s new deal before the end of the season? Might as well have bought the entire squad plane tickets to the Bahamas

TBF it made sense at the time as they were on a run and they had beaten PSG, since he's become permanent manager it looks like the players have stopped trying and have gone back into default mode.

Exactly. They’ve shot themselves in the foot. It wasn’t as if OGS was going anywhere else. Smacks of arrogance and poor understanding of the psychological make up of a squad that had become increasingly fractured and insecure during Mourinho’s last few months
