I'm giving my MoM to Foyth. He had a really hard job to do in what was not his natural position and for the most part did it very well.

I'm just glad to see the back of Man City..
..
But more glad that this poll seems to be working properly...
.
In the absence of @Bulletspur I have been deputised, never did a poll before.
.
Any complaints contact the management ..

gutted about that, I know they had the baulk of the possession but we had some very good chances, and scared them. got a bit tasty out there in the end, wonder if some banter was going in about CL. was so pleased to see Rose take out that dirty twat B Silva even if he was the main danger

I must say again I was gutted, but how fucking desperate was Jamie Redknapp :ROFLMAO:

now it's important to finish the season strong

True. To our credit, I think they'll be quite happy to see the back of us too!

I've never cared less about a loss. This is such an odd feeling.

I mean, midweek still happened. We're still in the semi-finals of the Champions' League, and when it comes to the league, sometimes you just gotta take the L for the greater good, know what I mean?

Foyth was good. Special talent, that lad. Other than that meh.

Great effort all round. Foyth had a very good game. Eriksen almost created a couple for Son. Didn't think it would be the case but a loss is disappointing. Vertonghen MOM for me.

I'll give it to Foyth, weird choice by Poch on the face of it, and first time Sterling got him one on one he skinned him but apart from that, he kept him and Sane very quiet (with help from Sanchez too)
If Son had his shooting boots it could've been very different, Eriksen too after some lovely play.

Moura played well in parts but a lot of poor touches collectively today, but i put that down to the way we set up, with everything having to be very precise with little option for men in possession.

Dier got some game time and although very rusty, it's good to have him and Vic coming back with Sissoko out and Winks seemingly picking up an injury every few games.

Slightly shaky start by Foyth and holding onto the ball to long, but soon settled into the game and did really well against the little prick Sterling and then Sane. Deserved MOM

As good a result as we could reasonable have expected or hoped for. Honestly thought we wouldlship a ton after 5 minutes to nullify our GD advantage over our rivals

Ederson obviously..

OK for us - Foyth was excellent out of position (could be be a RB if he wanted) and against one of the most in form (though c***ish) wingers in world football

Dele, Vertonghen were very good.

Overall this was a team effort and we passed very very well considering. On another day we'd have won that by 2-3 goals. Gazza didn't have a tricky save to make - no chance on the goal

Gazza 6.5 - Nearly a 6 due to a couple of dodgy moments first half, but overall he was o.k.
Foyth - 8.5 - Difficult start but grew into the game and is miles better defensively than Trippier at RB.
Sanchez - 8.5 - Very solid and strong.
Toby - 8
Jan 8
Davies 8
Dier - 6 - Unsurprisingly didn't look either fit or sharp after not playing for a long time.
Dele - 7 - Looked very leggy but some brilliant nutmegs and skills. Dallied on the ball occasionally, and is much more effective as an AM in a 4-2-3-1 than a CM in a 4-3-3. We're lucky he is versatile though otherwise we'd have had no midfield.
Eriksen - 7.5 - If we scored it would have been set up by one of his amazing passes. He also looked leggy and not surprising as he always plays and is never rested!
Moura - 7 - Good effort but no real end product. His second touch is sooo heavy!
Son - 7.5 - Great movement but not clinical today.

Wanyama - 7.5 - Looked a lot sharper than Dier had.
Rose - 7.5 - Put himself about. He scares me in CM as he always looks like getting caught in possession.

Overall I thought we defended really well (apart from their goal), but maybe played a little too deep. We should have had two penalties (Walker handball and the pull on Eriksen's arm as he shaped to shoot). This is the blue print for how to play City away.

Foyth playing out of position is a substantial upgrade on Trippier. I would be happy to see there for the remaining games
